It's kind of weird that the devs said there will never be a non-backer release of the Savini Jason yet there he is with a price tag. Even if there was a glitch with the release of the backer codes why would there be a price attached?

According to the forums/twitter it's sony's fault.

the dev's already told them to take it down and have said they told sony to never list it for sale and it was only meant to be a voucher.

Seems Sony fucked up somewhere.

It would be kind of a weird PR move to take it away from everyone who bought it after what a mess the game has been. But it'll happen.

P.S. This start with Firecrackers + they're affective in a wider radius perk is just lovely.

Even if everyone gets refunded (which would suck) I hope the devs see how much money they're leaving on the table. Mind boggling decision to not sell this thing

According to the devs they have to assign prices to items like that, even if it's going to be "Free" for the user (IE a voucher). So they gave sony the 6 price which is what it was on the backerkit.

Well, this isn't a fun turn of events.

We yelled at Sony the moment we found out. This was never supposed to happen, and we set this up with both Sony Europe and Sony America, both of which confirmed and assured that this would not happen.

I don't know what to say other than this sucks and was completely unforeseen, but we've made motions to get the skin removed as quickly as possible. Looking at the messages and acknowledgements now. There is literally nothing more we could have done, and we got Sony on the horn less than a minute after tweets started coming our way.

Sony confirmed with us that these items would be placed as voucher only and were not going to show up publicly for sale on the store.

We're♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ we're not happy, this is yet another issue that never, ever should have ever occurred, but we're stuck with this reality right now. Sony America was contacted the moment we found out and are removing it from the store.

This is not something we could have anticipated after confirming things multiple times. We apologize, we really do...but our team is not very happy considering other aspects of the launch.

Don't you try to take it back now, I'll be pissed.

Crazy though, it's actually quite brilliant, convince the world it will never be for sale, then it "accidentally" gets posted in the store, and thousands of people buy it despite being a crazy high price for a single character skin, simply because of the supposed rarity you've established.

League of Legends would argue otherwise lol (some of their skins are 30 bucks...).

On the flip side, it's just another thing to piss off a lot of already pissed off people about this game.

Does every bit of DLC hosted on the store have to have a price associated with it even if it's something like this "backer-only" situation? Seems weird that there was even a price to be charged when it went up.

I gave $75 to the Kickstarter and did not get the Savini skin. I'm glad Sony messed up because I just bought it even though I don't have the game yet (I gave my digital copy they gave me for delaying the physical edition to a friend).
