And this is merely one of the many reasons why they are laughing at us. Every side wants to claim they cleverly manipluated some other group at this point but the sad truth is that they all were being stupid.

So... why would I not believe Thursdayton on Wendsday night, and then when Thursday comes without the ton, I believe Fridayton started by the same person? That's illogical, and even with that in mind, you still thought I was a Nintendo hopeful. My point wasn't to be funny, my point was that it's not only Nintendo fans that go against the face of logic. You did too; your desire to call a Nintendo fan out overrode the fact that I didn't believe in Thursdayton last night. You just wanted to make fun of Nintendo fans. Just like Nintendo fans just wanted to believe in something good for Nintendo. It's called being human, and Nintendo fans aren't the only ones guilty of it.

I think it was pretty obvious that any veteran member of GAF knew what the score was from the beggining (Lord knows why they chose to play along). It was the junior members and first time posters who I felt I had to inject some commen sense into in the original topic. But your welcome to believe whatever you want.

I'm not quite sure why you're disagreeing with me so much, then, because that's exactly what I was trying to demonstrate. Well, maybe not so much about the junior members bit.
 
As much as people dog on drinky for his Nintendo hate, he's right. Nintendo fans need to wake the hell up. This E3 was a wake up call for me.

You can not deny the importance of E3 this year. here we have two other HUGE players in the industry hyping everyone up. Gamers everywhere are gonna be talking about Microsoft and Sony, while (like usual) Nintendo is off in the backround slowly fading away. People are eventually not even gonna care what Nintendo does. Playing old Nintendo games is a nice touch, but a "RevOlutiOn" it isn't.

The icing on the cake is the Miyamoto interview. Doesn't sound like they care too much about third partys or how inferior their hardware will be comparitively. It's like they think they're invincible or something. They're gonna start realizing the hard way that the Nintendo fanbase they so rely on is getting smaller and smaller, but by then it'll be too late.

Nintendo claims they will beat Sony to the marketplace. I don't see how that can happen if they don't promote NOW. Sony is pimping their next gen stuff heavily. Same with Microsoft. They are Showing off all the 3rd parties they have, listing killer apps etc.... concrete stuff which will which will pretty much garantee serious sales for them. Nintendo on the other hand must hold close their ridiculous secret(like always), and in doing so, has yet again thrown it's fans to the curb with a whole lot of uncertainty.

Why would I, a gamer, want to throw down my hard earned cash for a system that seems like it will be underpowered, and lack serious support (like the last 2 nintendo systems). I'm sick an tired of getting the shaft. As an older gamer (I'm 28) I'm getting shit on by Nintendo. As far as I'm concerned, Nintendo has not changed. Their controller will probably be gimmicky and push away even more gamers from the Nintendo camp. In the end, will they finally realize how much they screwed up?!!

What the fuck are you complaining? Just get a PS3 and if you want Zelda and Mario that bad, get a Revolution too because it's going to be cheap so why the hell nawt. :lol

I'm not trying to disagree I believe we're on the same page we just had some different methods of excercising it. I like you your a good poster and it wasn't my intention to unleash on you like that its just I was tired of all the veterans taking advantage of the lurkers and newbies. We've all been naive newbies at one point and it hurt me a little to see some of them if not buying into it being confused out of their minds. I'm dissapointed in the Vets. I expose myself everytime I try to stick up for the little guy to be mamed and ridiculed but I know I take the internet a lot less serious than a lot of the people who might of been even the least bit fooled by all of this.

I was irked, too, but actually moreso at those who believed it. Mostly because you could tell they were reluctant to, but did anyway.

For the record I don't think Drinky should ever be banned for something like this. The tools who participate are the ones who should be banned and I'm not speaking of the newbies and lurkers who "believed".

Because he's already left directions in the Mod Forum to execute the ban Friday at 5 PM PDT.

When I get back from lunch, I'm going to tee off for real, but in the meantime, can I just say that those of you who are clamoring for Drinky to be banned remind me of the Jews asking Pilate to crucify Jesus? YOU JUST DON'T GET IT.

I was upset at them very very briefly but soon realized who the real culprits were. We put the blame on different groups of people which is cool. I too saw it as good ol clean fun until I saw some of the annoying repercussion after page 8 or 9.

Here's an idea: how bout Nintendo fans simply say "screw this shit" about the supposed annoucements so as to not set yourselves up for disappointment. And if something DOES happen, you can be happy.

It's a win-win. :)

To be honest, with all the mayhem and the number of Nintendo fans' hopes he will have dashed by 5pm on Friday I can imagine the month ban is probably worth it. I seriously believe this guy gets off on giving N-bots displeasure. Somebody pass him some Kleenex and a Steely Dan cos he's gonna need it.
