I'm so proud that in the time that thread started, I studied for, booked, sat and passed an exam that is relevant in the real world saw star wars, went to bed, woke up and saw a "FridayTON" topic as well.

Although, drinky fooled about a million less people than aries, that guy is the master of tricking idiots.

I think you are all being too hard on Raoul Duke, by the way -- he was being a bit over the top since I think he assumed that NO ONE could possibly take this seriously enough to be fooled. He was FAR more elegant than the people posting obviously fake "news."

I agree and disagree. He deserved to take a lot of flak but there were a lot of other people who went over the top too and they didn't get called out. Luckily it was Nintendo fans so it didn't really matter.


As for the Thursdayton thread, the storm was already brewing. Doug highlighted it and gave it a place to shine. He did play it extremely well, though.


I mean, Fridayton, baby. He's going to ban himself for a month! Something is definitely happening.

I do not care about ground breaking revelations. I am very let down that Nintendo did not show Metroid Dread. Play magazine mentioned that it was on Nintendo e3 list. They had a freaking puppydog demo but not a 2D metroid announcement? What the fuck?

So what I want to know is what Drinky could possibly gain by stretching out what once had the potential to be funny but has long since become trite and pointless even longer? Sure, some people still believe it wholeheartedly, but those type of people aren't really worth the continuation of the very tired joke, now are they?
