USA's time as a leader on the world stage seems to be over
The USA economy is so fucked. The next recession is going to be a killer
China + EU gonna be the way of the future
damn
UK & US caught the fattest L's of the decade
Yeah I base this on nothing more than my feelings and reading news coverage about technology... but it feels like we've turned a corner on the fight for climate change.
It's still early and we're still mostly fucked; but literally, the entire world except the GOP (and Nicaragua and Syria) has decided that we need to do something about climate change.
Renewable energy is like 5 years away from being completely mainstream. And the US will be left behind...
Canada getting in on this?
Good job, EU and China! Saving the planet!
People thought it was the EU that was done lol
How much money do you need to implement a system to trade emissions though
Any source on this?More.
While this is kind of nice news - more international cooperation is important - let us not forget that China is a fucking environmental disaster.
Trump is going to point to this as a win. He's basically holding the planet to hostage and it's sickening.
"We'll deny climate change is real and just do what we want, and the rest of the world is going to have to pick up the slack. So we won't have to shoulder the cost of fighting climate change! MAGA."
I hope the rest of the world sanction the shit out of the US.
The EU, India and China are all already working to improve things too. It isn't just talk.Any source on this?
So are the EU, India and the US.
The EU, India and China are willing to change that though.
People thought it was the EU that was done lol
Well, this is a sign we've been utterly tricked by that Chinese hoax, while smart guy America walks away thanks to its enlightened and glorious leader.People thought it was the EU that was done lol
Even if you've purged Trump, Americans might just vote a worse-Trump within a decade.
If people didn't learn their lesson from Bush, I'm not confident they would learn it from Trump.... Or at the very least, the lesson would quickly be forgotten.
It's not just the president though, it's the whole party that gets support from half the country. How can the President justify ignoring every science authority in the country. Trump's piss-poor leadership that runs in the opposite direction of all evidence really is one for the history books.
The US is the new China.

quoted for truthness. And here's the kicker: analysts are expecting the next recession to pop off within the next months as the morgage bubble is already back to it's 2008 pre-collapse status. The next recession's going to be on Trump's watch. Imagine the size of that L. Just picture it.
How bad would this be for people who just bought a place? My sibling is signing on a house soon...quoted for truthness. I think we have reached the point in the Firefly lore where Chinese started to get more widespread.
I think I'm either a genius or this was extremely predictable and Trump is giving up any possible form of leadership or credibility on this issue.me said:Saying that Europeans are going to give up the US for China is a real stretch, but you can bet your ass they're going to make a big show of joint environmental initiatives at the very least, especially if Trump pulls out of the Paris agreement.

Win-win for Europe and Asia, really. The chance to upend one of the major pillars of the American economy while letting the US export them a finite resource in the short term.
Just because Trump lives in the 80s doesn't mean the rest of the world is. The American and Saudi Arabia axis is a losing proposition in the long run.
