Broken 360?
It does that frequently, but I've found that the game plays just fine despite it and there is a whole lotta NEXT GEN in this game when it comes to the blowing stuff up part.

It also make a big difference if you're running the game in high def. Just like with NFS:MW, if you play in high definition the game seems to run a little more jerky. Certainly not horrible but noticeable to the discerning eye. Also, when you're just driving along it doesn't really feel like the framerate is screwy, it's more like the scenery just seems to jerk along ever so slightly. It does the exact same thing in both games.Dave Long said:The slowdown thing is one of perception I think. I've played this game a lot and there IS slowdown and lots of it. The game drops frames often to keep up. However, it also purposely slows down at times (like when you blow up a rival/other car in the race) and that might not be obvious to some.
Also, some tracks are more prone to it than others and it really depends on just how much is getting drawn on the screen at any given moment. Blow the bloody hell out of a thousand things and have a tanker truck going up at the same time and the game will potentially get to the single digits in framerate (judging by eye of course) but that's not necessarily distracting since you're kinda watching the stuff blow up anyway.
Anyway, some people are going to notice every single time the framerate drops, even just a little. It does that frequently, but I've found that the game plays just fine despite it and there is a whole lotta NEXT GEN in this game when it comes to the blowing stuff up part.

It's definitely better than the demo IMO. I thought the demo was ok, but the final game looks much better and really offers a pretty fun arcade experience.Fongul said:Well I just took the plunge & bought this on eBay for $43 shipped. I didn't want to buy this game for $64 (which is the amount with CA sales tax) but $20 off sounds good to me. I've always been a fan of destructable racing games with Carmeggedon 2 and Destruction Derby having a soft spot in my heart. Hope the game is better than the demo

To you maybe its not, but to thousands of others it sure is.mackmoney said:But not worth $60
Tiger said:I've got one big tip for anyone who just bought this game. Turn off the "kill cam" in the options menu. It's worthless and it creates slowdown when it is on.
