Full Auto GET! Good? Bad? look inside! :)

Just played this game at my brother's for a solid 4 hours in split screen

the game is awesome in multiplay...great fucking fun

The demo does not do this game justice at all. Really everyone who like games like burnout at all owe it to themselves to give this a rental.

bought it , played it a little...

Broken 360?

nope - there is a slight judder every few seconds in certain races... and then at some points the frame rate becomes real bad.

I'm running my X360 via 1080i - will try 720p. I've tried it with/without the connection to PC tunes too.

the frame rate is distracting. :(

Weird, I'm running it with my vga wire at 1280x1024 and very very rarely have any frame rate loss. I've completely beaten single player mode and played tons of online mode.

The slowdown thing is one of perception I think. I've played this game a lot and there IS slowdown and lots of it. The game drops frames often to keep up. However, it also purposely slows down at times (like when you blow up a rival/other car in the race) and that might not be obvious to some.

Also, some tracks are more prone to it than others and it really depends on just how much is getting drawn on the screen at any given moment. Blow the bloody hell out of a thousand things and have a tanker truck going up at the same time and the game will potentially get to the single digits in framerate (judging by eye of course) but that's not necessarily distracting since you're kinda watching the stuff blow up anyway.

Anyway, some people are going to notice every single time the framerate drops, even just a little. It does that frequently, but I've found that the game plays just fine despite it and there is a whole lotta NEXT GEN in this game when it comes to the blowing stuff up part.

yup , rocketting the crap out of stuff is great fun. Again, like you say though, i can't not notice the frame hickups - that's just me i guess, seems like different people see it differently.

I rented this and just took it back yesterday. I made it about halfway thru (47% or so) but it just started to bore the hell out of me eventually, and I sure as fuck wasn't going to bother with the endurance races. The multiplayer is pretty fun though, I'll give it that, but its definitely not worth buying IMO.

I finally got around to renting it and after playing for half an hour, got up from the couch, logged onto Gamefly and chose "Keep it." This game is great! Alright, maybe "great" is a bit much, but it's very solid. A hell of a lot better than it was in the demo, which just reinforces my belief that demos usually hurt people's opinions on games games more than they help them (like in Kameo's case).

Granted, I haven't gotten that far in at about an hour and a half, but I am enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would based on the demo. I wish it was more like Twisted Metal than Burnout-with-guns and there were massive, wide open levels instead of narrow tracks, but otherwise it's been damn fun so far. A very happy surprise. Woot Sega!

It's fun for a while, but it really feels like the combat and racing are two completely separate beasts, and that's just frustrating. That, and it's just not fast enough.

I'm loving this game even more than I did yesterday. Maybe it's due to me being a total slut for the car destruction genre (Twsited Metal and Burnout are two of my favorite series of all time), but I am having a blast with this.

Problem, though. I gave the online a spin and it's pretty good, but I can not stand playing with the shrieking idiots on XBL and I don't think anyone on my friends list has this game. Some of you Full Auto GAFers, add me and send me an invite next time you're playing.

The thing I like about this game is EVERYTHING can blow up. Crash into a store, and you are IN the store. its a cheap thrill but its fun.

It also make a big difference if you're running the game in high def. Just like with NFS:MW, if you play in high definition the game seems to run a little more jerky. Certainly not horrible but noticeable to the discerning eye. Also, when you're just driving along it doesn't really feel like the framerate is screwy, it's more like the scenery just seems to jerk along ever so slightly. It does the exact same thing in both games.

It actually bothered me more with NFS:MW though. For some reason in Full Auto there is just so much going on that it really doesn't bother me. I wish I could say the same for NFS:MW.

I'm enjoying Full Auto and I definitely think it's a buy worthy game for arcade driving fans such as myself.

supposedly this game has a photo mode!!! :o

Really? If so, where?

I know that during a race you can press down on the D-Pad and it will show what you did in the past 15-20 seconds or so. From there, you can press A to pause the replay, and zoom in/out, pan around the car, fast forward and rewind the video, but you can't take pictures! This mode is useless then. That would be genius, and it's stupid that they didn't include this, to save your replay or take photos and share them over XBL! Isn't that what the "experience" is all about? Then where the fuck are the features? :D

Well I just took the plunge & bought this on eBay for $43 shipped. I didn't want to buy this game for $64 (which is the amount with CA sales tax) but $20 off sounds good to me. I've always been a fan of destructable racing games with Carmeggedon 2 and Destruction Derby having a soft spot in my heart. Hope the game is better than the demo

It's definitely better than the demo IMO. I thought the demo was ok, but the final game looks much better and really offers a pretty fun arcade experience.

I have a Full Auto flip book.
Yes, flip book. Some pre-order thing from GAME my friend gave me. What better way to show off the latest high def graphics in a flip book with a picture size of about 2cm!

I've got one big tip for anyone who just bought this game. Turn off the "kill cam" in the options menu. It's worthless and it creates slowdown when it is on.

I think turning that one option off would alleviate a lot of peoles complaints with this game. I'm really enjoying this one and I have to admit I was completely surprised by it. I had almost NO interest back when it was first shown at E3, and even up to the day it came out I did not intend to buy it.

I only bought the game out of pure desire to have a new 360 game and the fact that i'm a driving game whore. Overall I think it's a really solid title that deserves at least an 8 from reviewers. If you're on the fence with this game I would encourage you to take the plunge. It might suprise you at how entertaining it is.

Thank god for gamefly. I would have been really disappointed if I had paid $60 for this. Its a great rental though...

I rented this from Gamefly.. playing through it now. Overall, it is a very fun game. It does have slowdown issues and those who say they don't get slowdown just aren't noticing it. It is not consistent and there doesn't appear to be any reason as to why it slows down when it does (there aren't tons of objects on screen, sometimes it's just me).

Graphically, I don't see it... I don't see what makes this game so beautiful. To me, it looks a hell of a lot like Burnout - which was a beautiful game btw... just when I hear people talk gorgeous graphics about 360, I expect "Holy shit, is that really a videogame?" graphics.

I would say that this game is a good start to what can hopefully be a good franchise. It definitely has its quirks but if they can improve on things for the next game, it should be fantastic.

It doesn't "create slowdown", it specifically shows the kill in slow motion just like the Burnout games. That slowdown is intentional.

The real slowdown is something no one can fix. It's simply how the game performs and given a few more months, maybe they could've fixed it?

I also received Full Auto from Gamefly and after a ho-hum first hour, I really started to have a lot of fun with the game. It is really addictive going after the Full Auto (Gold) medals, and after 7 hours, I had all 87 of them and was up to Rank 4 on Xbox Live. For a game as simplistic as this, 7-10 hours is the perfect length.

I was pleasantly surprised by Full Auto and I think everyone, especially Burnout fans, should give it a chance.

ProTip: If you are having trouble getting golds on some of the earlier levels, move on and revisit the levels when you can tune your weapons. The Level 3 machine gun is perfect for building up Wreck Points and keeping your multiplier going.

I played the full game yesterday and its alot better than the demo. Cars and weapons in demo were kind of boring... but its still not a game I would pay 60 euros for. Maybe when the price drops to 20 euros or something.
