I would say Family Matters had higher highs and was probably better overall, but boy did those low points (especially at the end) kill that series. If Full House had ended like that I have no doubt Fuller House would not exist.

Full House. FM goes insane in some of their poor seasons/out-there episodes.

Full House at it's best (Joey, Dany and Jesse playing off extremely well to each other with Deej and Steph in some sort of pickle and occasional comments from Michelle, with a dash of the other characters) is an amazing formula IMO. FH gets a lot of flack, and I get it, but I feel there's refusal to admit that when the show was working, it's simplicity was fantastic

Full House used to annoy the shit out of me for some reason. Could never watch it. It would come on in syndication after Family Matters and that was always the 30 minutes before The Simpsons where I would go shoot hoops or play a game.

Actually I prefer Urkel over everything full house, but that full house them song I feel is superior.

In Step by Step, I was kind of annoyed that the middle kids from each side of the family didn't have matching hair colors with their blood siblings. Also heard that Cody was a wife beater.

Perfect Strangers has the best theme song, but I barely remember the show. I was like 6 or something when I watched.

Full House started as shit and ended as shit. Then it came back on Netflix as shit too. The Olsen twins were the first Kardashians, riding a complete lack of talent to fame and fortune. Gimme pizza! P-I-Z-Z-A.

At least they've faded away and let their much more talented younger sister take the spotlight.

Holy crap I forgot that Family Matters was a spin off. I wanna check out Perfect Strangers thanks to this thread.

Full House is a more consistently entertaining show but Family Matters has some really stand out moments that makes it a nice competitor. If Family Matters didn't go full cartoon in the second half it could have possibly edged out Full House.
