Full match of Halo 5 mp

It didn't seem to matter in this situation, but this reminded me that bouncing frags off the ground for early detonation is one of my favorite things in video games.

Wow, the smg just destroys the assault rifle at close range based on this most recent video. Not sure the assault rifle will have a place in the sandbox at all unless they do some tweaks. I'll be going pistol starts, smg for close, br/dmr for medium/long based on what I've seen.

To be honest I rather like the Prophet's Bane design. It seems like a more heavy and deadlier energy sword, which was swift and elegant. Makes me wonder what enemy specifically will be using the weapon in the campaign. I am betting the Storm that covenant splinter group will be using it.

Well, Arby's probably the only one who'll use it in campaign, seeing how it is his own personal sword.

Thanks for the tidbit of info. I did not know that was the Arbiter's personal sword. Which also gives it context to what its called the Prophet's Bane given that he killed the Prophet of Truth.

After watching all 3 videos from Ready Up Live...I just don't see this comparison being true anymore. At best it's very, very superficial (you're not watching many videos to come to that conclusion). I was worried before MCC came out (those leaked H5 snippets), but...this still looks like Halo to me. It is a bit different, sure. But Halo 3 is also pretty different from CE. And I like how they're actually going back to the basics of CE in some ways (e.g. less auto-aim, pistol is more powerful).

Not all change are always bad, and I want to try out this Beta to see for myself how I feel about these proposed changes. At least from what I've seen in videos, it looks fun.

It is the same guy. He's just reading the script differently, probably with direction to do so. I don't love some of the new announcements I've heard, but it's a pretty minor thing for me.
 
I wish that in addition to chatter, killcams could also be made optional. That way teabagging could make a comeback. In Halo 4 it didn't exist - even the glorious body physics were removed.

No doubt. As much as I like to pretend I am now a mature adult, I have been teabagging like a mother fucker on MCC for nostalgia sake. I truly miss proximity chat where you could briefly hear the person you killed. Just yell a quick outburst and move along. At the end of the match where both teams could hear eachother turned into screaming over the top of the other team... I loved all this juvenile shit at the time.
 
Lower auto aim is good. But combine that with (what look like) buffed up AR and SMGs and its hard to call it a game of skill when its easier to just spray like crazy.

Seems way too chaotic. Just run in, try to get 1-2 kills, die and repeat. Might be the shitty map though. Sorry fellas, Midship was always garbage. Its even more garbage with sprint.

Speaking of which, still dislike sprint. Will have to live with it though. Seems 343 are hell bent on having it. :/

ADS on the other hand doesnt bother me at all. Neither does DMR scoping. Seems fine to me since hip fire isnt penalized.

Why oh why do they keep changing the low shield warning and the shield recharge sound? Did Bungie have a copyright on the old one? It was terrible in Halo 4 and its terrible here. The old one was fucking iconic, like what the hell 343. Buy those rights if you have to MS, cough up the money if its a money issue.

Dont mind the announcer, hopefully there are more VO options though. Character voices (Sgt Stacker, Sgt Johnson etc) not generic male and female ones. The current one is bland.

Oh yeah, u mad bro! This game looks exactly like Turok and every other shooter. FAIL 343! I've been looking down sights since Doom. I want it to feel like Halo not a shooter!

I don't like how the guy has to defend the game with commentary over the video. Just let me see the gameplay.

I imagine he's laughing cause Halo 5 appeals to him now that it's no longer a Halo game.

This gameplay looks better than what I've seen previously.

Liking the better AR and pistol. SMG seems too overpowered. Not liking the hitmarker and shield beeps. Not liking the overexcited announcer. Gimme that Halo 1 slow growl.
 
Halo has the opposite problem as Call of Duty.

Call of Duty comes out yearly and people scream and bitch and moan because it's too similar.

Halo comes out every 3 years and people scream and bitch and moan because something changed.
 
Yeh it has the aesthetics, we'll see about the gameplay, it doesn't look like it at the moment as TTK is still at Halo 4 levels.

BR TTK is apparently the exact same as Halo 3, if you could somehow manage to nail all 4 shots. Honestly, man, I feel like you're reaching. Hipfire, equal starts, map control... looks like Halo to me.

It's funny at the end of the vid he mentions people calling him a shill. Gamers make me laugh these days. "Don't agree with my opinion about the game i haven't played yet sucking, you must be a shill." Lets forget that he's had more than enough time with the game and the ones bashing it have only watched it being played but obviously they somehow know more about the gameplay than he does...

i've said this several times, but the changes halo 5 is making from 4 alone make me very excited and optimistic for this game. equal starts, and map control are huge to halo and this brings that back. 60 frames per second should be amazing too (havent played MCC yet). there is definitely stuff that makes me a bit leary how it will play out, and its almost a fore gone conclusion that i wont like everything about the game, but it seems to at least be shaping up to be worthy of the halo name. who knows, the movement additions alone might catapult this to the top.

The DMR in Reach was like the return of the pistol from Halo 1. You could carry enough ammo to not be conservative with it, and you weren't forced to waste potentially 2 rounds like with a BR. I dig having this new pistol and the DMR together. The Reach pistol was weak sauce with it's 8 round clip. I like that this one has 12.

looks like halo (4). no complaints, but also no surprises. well outside of the brief glimpses we saw of that overgrown covenant level thats outside during the day. that looked fresh and new

That's not how I understood that to work. ;-\ Sprint is annoying.

They seem to be there to indicate max velocity, so that you know you can now slide or charge.
And this indicates sprinting isn't max speed at once, presumably in an attempt to "balance" it for those who don't like sprint.

Maybe. But it looks like the timer to recharge emptied and then it started recharging. As I understand, sprinting only prevents the recharge time bar from getting to zero, something it accomplished in the vid.

The current issue is that they announce when weapons are spawning so that kind of ruins it. Many reported this so they might address that issue.
 
I just now noticed the countdown line above the shield bar. It depletes, and once it does, your shields begin to recharge. It looks like sprinting causes that timer thing to restart but if you let it complete, shields will recharge then you can sprint.

whats the issue? this just allows people who dont know timers to also understand the game is about map control.

Then, like in a couple of the videos, you get everyone funneling to the spawn point and camping. They don't need to say it's up, it should be a skill to learn and keep track of weapon spawns and timers. I mean, I'm ok with the projection of the weapon a few seconds before it spawns, if they really have to go that way, just no audio cue for it.

So? If people are going to funnel to a heavy weapon spawn like a fly to a bug light, I will gladly sit back and kill them with my DMR or BR. Midship is a strange map to take into account though since it does have one of the most prominent spawn locations for a power weapon that you can see from almost anywhere.
