Full match of Halo 5 mp

Don't see the issue with the weapon spawn callouts. I like the idea of helping people with the timing and placements of guns. It's not like the majority of people didn't know anyways. Every time a match started there'd be rocket and sniper runners. It never failed. If any anything it just makes the bad people more predictable. Now you know exactly where they are going and most likely they are going to get there too early and you will have time to pick them off before the weapon actually spawns. Then they will come right back just after you picked it up for a quick death.

Yeah, I'm sorry. I don't see the issue with calling out the power weapons. The only argument I've really heard is that it ruins "the mystery/discovery". For real though, if anyone can give me a good reason for not including it, I'd like to hear it.

the game tells you when power weapons are about to drop? wtf. Ordnance drops were bad enough. Just go back to the way it was god damn. Why does 343 feels the need to change Halo so much, for multiplayer and singleplayer

Why wouldn't they? They aren't changing the formula of the halo mp chore gameplay like they did in 4 (ordnance drop, loadouts and what not, they removed them actually) but it clearly feels like a more fast paced game that's still feels like Halo.

About the weapon announcement, I like it, but I don't like markers showing up in my screen

I'd rather just have him announce that "heavy weapons incoming" "heavy weapons are a go"
Something like that

Pretty much announcing with no markers for me

People are bound to remember locations after couple of games

Gonna take the opportunity to pimp my "training wheels" proposal. For Bronze and Unranked matches, you get the full 9 yards, both position and timer announcement. For Silver, they strip out the position markers, and in Gold and above they don't tell you anything.

It's funny at the end of the vid he mentions people calling him a shill. Gamers make me laugh these days. "Don't agree with my opinion about the game i haven't played yet sucking, you must be a shill." Lets forget that he's had more than enough time with the game and the ones bashing it have only watched it being played but obviously they somehow know more about the gameplay than he does...
Don't be so sure...

I've met Greenskull at Halo events at PAX before, he's a really nice guy, but I wouldn't exactly say he and RUL are impartial. That said, the videos are great.

I'm obviously nitpicking here, but the dudebro poses at the end of matches and the lame Spartan voices used for callouts and random chatter like "sweet headshot bud!! ^___^" are grating. Way to lower the tone and destroy what little sense of immersion Halo retains in its multiplayer modes.

agreed. its over the top and doesnt match the behavior i have in my head for spartans (even IVs). hope it gets toned down.

yes the dudebro poses have to go. i kind of get what they are going for with the simulation and adding some personality to the world but come on. spartans aren't supposed to be dudebros giving "come at me" poses before and after a match. gtfo with that.

If they add stuff that tells extra info to new players, it should be limited to new/bad players.

Again. Spartan IVs are kind of dudebro. You can not like that they're dudebro, but canonically it makes sense.

The more I see the more it's growing on me. I'm just so happy there's no jet pack or armor lock. I hope we've seen all the armor abilities and their not holding any back. I'm also glad we wont be able to use camo whenever we want.

looks awesome. its a game about spacemen in combat, why they hell do people have such a problem with being able to sprint and fly? it makes perfect sense for the series to evolve instead of be the same gameplay wise as halo 3.

You can build on top of Halo 3 without breaking what people liked about it. The one thing I have always loved in Halo is the more slow, methodical games. The ones that aren't just run and gun. I have a hard time believing that with how fast the game moves, you can still have proper map control. pacing is my issue with Halo 5. ADS isn't a problem since it doesn't seem too bad (even though the HUD and design is awful), but there is no point to all of these extra movement options. Armor abilities and equipment could have been expanded in so many ways after feedback from Reach, but they never listened.

Equipment, whatever, but armor abilities? Really? Those are much, much more detrimental than anything we're seeing in the Halo 5 footage, imo. Totally wrecks even starts.

NEW GAMEPLAY!

Halo 5 GAMEPLAY - [TRUTH] EXCLUSIVE Halo 5: Guardians Beta Gameplay

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmbG7e9gGSM&list=UU-UXMS9Q-apozW8jALP5UZw

Make sure to watch it in 60fps :) Looks really awesome and the video shows (once more) that smart scope is just exactly what zoom ever was in Halo.

Looks glorious.

I love that the weird sword is specific to that map. Looking forward to other map-exclusive weapons that look (and possibly behave) differently.

Eh? That's just the plasma sword that's been in Halo since Halo 2 dude. Doubt they're gona go with map specific weapons.

Yeah, that was an assumption on Greenskulls part...he stated as much in video. I can't see the sword being relegated to just this map. Perhaps the prophets bane is not the only sword? Then maybe but I still doubt it.

No, that's it. The regular sword is still in, Prophet's Bane is something else.

It's like y'all just completely forgot how good of a show precision weapons were making against the automatics in the prior two videos.

I think for this to work, they need to make it so the spartans sound serious instead of dudebro and only talk when they actually have something important to say. And then act dignified at the end of the match. They're not playing basketball, they're practicing murder for the purpose of defending the Earth.
Imagine them like Noble team, that'd be good.

In general I only want the Spartans talking when they have something important to say, and the announcer talking only when you've done something legitimately cool. Double kills and triple kills are fine, headshots and "comeback kills" aren't worth medals or announcements. Stop cluttering my screen and my ears.

I would be ok with this. As it stands right now it's a bit silly with all the congratulatory gibberish.

They are not noble Spartans. They are "Ohh Rah!" marines. More like a sport than some actual war against each-other. No wonder they are fist-bumping douches that cannot shut up.

Given what we know about and have seen from the Spratan IVs, it would actually be weirder at this point if they started acting like the stoic 'n properly traumatized II & III's.

We don't need to accept their annoying attitude just because "that's the way they are." this is fiction, they can be however 343 wants them to be. They could talk like Keith David or Barney the Dinosaur, they can make them act in any way they desire.

And I'd prefer they be like Noble team and not the obnoxious stuff they are now. They don't need to act traumatized or anything, just serious about their job. Some subtle celebrations would be fine, a couple nods, salutes, whatever. Even a quick back pat. Just none of this hopping around high five basketball stuff.

Maybe they will have emotional options for your character so people can be proud and noble Spartan with gruff voices and the bearing of a king. Or you can be a marine douchebag who teabags everything that moves.

Also, its a beta. Moan enough and it might get changed. Thats the purpose of the beta.

Well that's exactly what I'm doing is it not? Sharing my opinions on anything I see/play in hopes that others agree and changes are seen to the final game. Will continue to do so during the beta.

I am not criticizing you over your opinion, I actually agree with you. It does sound and look out of place. Sorry if it came across that I was throwing criticism at you.

I actually hope they give players personality options. Making things more varied and personal too.

It would be kind of funny if you could pick a stoic attitude and when other players try to high five you, your Spartan just stares at him until the other gives up.
