Looks good but I would love to see a full match of Master Chief Collection first. Got Hang em High and got booted, hurts man.

Sprint is limited, either waste your time chasing or move to another encounter.
Like I said, you don't end up killing them beforehand, it's really on you. I'll just agree to disagree.
If this thread has taught me anything, it's that there are a ton of varying opinions of what makes Halo "Halo".
That's just an excuse when you can regain shields, head back up top and regain control.

A possibility, not always going to happen. You and I know that.
Has this been confirmed? Either way, no shield regen kind of negates it plus it can always be changed before final release if true.
Scrub tier logic at it's best folks.
It absolutely does NOT negate the problems sprint causes. Where do you think players are going to run to? Somewhere that they will easily be killed or somewhere safe? They are still going to survive fights where they should have died. That is by far the biggest problem with sprint (and it's even worse now with permanent sprint+evade mechanic, this game WILL play like garbage). The other problems such as slow and shit base movement because of sprint and the enlarged maps are problems that will NEVER go away as long as it exists.
inb4 just chase them
Can someone tell me if Halo 5 beta will require XBOX Live Gold?
Stop putting sprint in fps games...
Make the base movespeed high, add a walk button.
Always. Can someone tell me if Halo 5 beta will require XBOX Live Gold?
wow has this thread really come down to this kind of posting? If his logic is scrub tier, yours is forgot to scrub tier.
COD's core hasn't changed much and people buy it every year.I wouldn't want to be the developer building a new halo game. do people want halo 5 and all future halo games, to be exactly the same as the previous ones? I understand that there are core things in halo that shouldn't be changed and I don't agree with all the changes 343i are making in halo 5 but they have to try to enhance the series in some way.

So it's our fault that our weapons have slow as fuck kill times and someone can sprint away from battle before you fire a shot?
k

To hear the collective enraged outcry from the fans?God I wish the ground pound ended with Armor Lock.![]()

This looks fantastic except ADS. I'm perfectly fine with every other change.

Cross posting
My thoughts on the newest H5 gameplay video. Empire is a shitty Halo 4 style map. No map control due to sprint and all the random ledges, pathways, and rooms. Low kills times to accommodate the speed of sprint and boost. Spartans say cringe worthy shit that have no impact on what is going on in the game. Still hate spartan 5 dude bros with a passion and do not want to see them in any part of the Halo 5 story. Clamber looks like it takes no skill at all despite what 343 says. Br dose not look like a burst fire weapon anymore. Crouch jump is fucked due to a cheap kill mechanic. Sprint is not effected by the nerf at all. Run run shoot die. Run run shoot die. Looks like it play's just like Halo 4. Art style is dark and gritty looks just like H4. They just cant let their cod version of Halo go. There has been no original innovation just jump on what other games are doing and hope it sticks. They will not remove anything because the maps and campaign are already designed around this shit. When the beta drops there will be a bloody war between devs and the people that buy their game over all the BS added to Halo.
Empire looks like Adrift and Anchor 9 had a child and Skyline delivered it.
I had a dream I was playing the Halo 5 beta on some promotional truck where they had TV screens on both sides of the truck...
What...
Scrub tier? Explain the logic.
Can repeat this all day, if you don't end up killing them before they sprint off, that otherwise would have gave you the kill.
This is utter nonsense because when you are playing a Halo game - you know its Halo. The thing is - there is nothing else on the market like Halo - not even remotely close (dont say Destiny because its not). Halo has its own identity: Guns, grenades, melee, high jumps + longer "Time To Kill" than pretty much all other multiplayer shooters. The longer TTK is probably the most important element - and why its such a skill based game - good players will outplay the bad nearly everytime. Until this changes - its Halo.probably because every halo game has been drastically different than the last. it's really a shame. the versatility in halo's gameplay has been abused and it's losing its identity to itself.

Reaction time: ~.2 seconds.
Kill time: ~2 seconds.
Time to run away: ~1 second. (hell, .1 of a second with this stupid evade mechanic)
Try again.

Forced ADS, accuracy penalties when airborne, sprint, bloom... yeah, sure feels like Halo. LOL. If anything, you could say it's like a super COD-ified version of Reach. When it comes to the core gameplay, the only thing that feels similar to Halo is the way aim-assist works. And when you start considering everything outside the core gameplay, like killstreaks, custom loadouts, not being able to change weapons on the fly... the difference is even more obvious. Hell, Bungie didn't even try to include any of the classic Halo controls schemes, they only included different variations of the COD controls (and yeah, that sucks, but the game is pretty bad for the most part, so it's not that big of a deal)destiny is definitely in the "remotely close" to halo style IMO. its very very different, but still retains a lot of halo's feel, particularly with movement and gunplay (what ever the fuck that means)
Question?
What is it that people wants, the game to play like Halo 2 or 3? Then what would be the purpose of doing a new Halo?
In that case just keep doing more maps for lets say H2 and called it a day.
People want a new Halo but they want the same old game, to me it doesnt make any sense.

Sick of reading this shit.
...People want good additions to the game. Things like dual wield, boarding, certain map dynamics (some of the H2A ones are godawful though) even equipment (though they really need to be better balanced) were largely liked and welcomed.
God damn lol, at least wait and play the damn thing.
Just like we had to wait to play Halo 4?
