OMG @ the perfect dark comics. They chose the worst possible mix of western and eastern art possible.

The PDZ comic is not bad at all. The "new" Joanna seems very different from the one from the N64 version. She seems wreckless and dangerous. :/ It's certainly not what made her the perfect agent in the N64 game. Seems like they're going with a more extreme tone this time around. :p

She's totally Xbox.

Well remember the game is a prequel. So I expect her to not be as wise or professional as in the original Perfect Dark.

We're gonna learn alot about Joanna in PDZ methinks :)

I wonder if they could put in the original PD as a bonus in PD0. Would be fun to go back and tinker around with good controls, see how hard it still is or isn't. :p

I hope so. I hope the story is good too. I'll be buying this game primarily for the single player mode. The original PD had an awesome single player mode and story. Mission based objectives > *.

Outside of translation, it looks like someone put some time into the Kameo comic. Are they supposed to be new character designs or the Japanese instruction manual or something?

Why not, it's not like they're going to go up in value. Might as well get as much as you can now.
was just looking at ebay, it's not even selling...lol...ah well I guess I'll just keep.

Its a prequel, Im guessing something happens that makes her want to be not so reckless by the time the actual perfect dark rolls around.

PDO comic was cool, hope theres city scenes like that in the game. Kameo one is a joke though.

Meh. Old Joanna was cool. She didn't flip the fuck out, and she certainly didn't appear in any quasi-anime bullshit.

Seriously, I don't think my brain can handle the idea of British Secrent Agent Anime.

Ahahaha, I don't know why, but when I was trying to remember what the comic look like I replaced the current Joanna with that nasty Kimpossible wanna be from a few years ago. All that random flying around and being psycho and the old artwork just gelled too well.

Guess I shoulda reread it before posting.

That's "not so far" from the artwork they had for the N64. The only one I could find was this scan of X64 (french version) dated January 2000.

It's a kind of comics style very popular between american comics fans. It closely remembers Joe Madureira's style, and if you read Marvel's Age of Apocalypse or its BattleChasers you'll find many stylistic analogies.

Infact, the PDZ comic was made by Cold Fuzion Studios, the comic studio founded by Madureira himself. http://www.coldfuzionstudios.com/
