NOt to take this thread off subject but anyone here play co-op online? I LOVE this game to death and must've beaten it at least 4 times online and I'm always cool to do it one more time. Just PM me and send me an invite.

The PS2 version doesn't look bad, but doesn't hold a candle to the PC and XBox version based on those pics above. Why even bother to release it at this point when the XBox version can be had for $20 (that is if you own one). I hope Pandemic is hard at work on a sequel, I love this game!

It's definitely a good rental though, especially to show off a Dolby Digital setup. It's fun, just repetitive. That said, it's sobering to realize that our troops in Iraq are doing the same thing. When they cleared out Fallujah, they had to move house to house, corner by corner. Get lazy and that's when bad things happen.

For a PS2 game, the graphics aren't that bad but clearly the Xbox is better.

You're being sarcastic, right? It's a rather unique game. If you haven't played it, it's not a third person action shooter like it looks. You don't actually shoot, it's a tactical squad combat simulator.

Hold up a squad based military game where you don't shoot?!?!

I guess you just issue commands, that seems like a bore.

Are you talking about the gameplay or the setting? In the first case, this is really a unique game, very enjoyable, and I don't see any other games "exactly like this". If you're talking about the setting, well, it's a representation of actual war, so yes, every game that want to simulate actual war seems like the others (ie FSW and Close Combat), but gameplay should vary.

I guess you just issue commands, that seems like a bore.

Like any strategy-based game, but I don't find them boring. In FSW giving commands to your squad isn't boring at all, you should try it. The boring side comes from the level design, that after some levels begins to sound too much repetitive, even if with some variants each time.

Name another game that's just like FSW

Yeah that's what I thought
