Funko |OT| Once you Pop, the fun don't stop

What is appealing about these?

There are several things people might find appealing of them:

1) They're cute

2) They're inexpensive

3) There's pretty much one for anything and everything that has been, is, or will be popular

Some characters fit the style more than others of course, but the fact that they're around $8-12 each puts them in the impulse purchase zone. It's something you can put on your dresser or bookshelf or work desk that's not too big, not too flashy, just a simple stylized figure of a character you like.

Honestly my only real complaints about POPs are the quality control for the paint jobs. I'm sure they've gotten better (the poses, too, have become much more dynamic lately and the detail has increased quite a lot) but since they're so cheap and mass produced they're susceptible to pretty wide variations on paint being messed up.

But even if someone thinks they're ugly it shouldn't be very hard to see why they're popular. They're $10 figures of like literally anything you can imagine. There are properties that have POP figures that would otherwise never, EVER get any sort of merchandise so I'm sure there are even people who aren't crazy about the style but still would rather have a keepsake from their favorite series than nothing at all.

Here's what seems to be the full common set of TLJ Pops.

That I can get just about any character I'm interested in.

Some may say some other style of figure is better and on a certain level that could be true (eg, the paint job on some pops can be pretty bad) but I'm not going to buy that other style unless they create characters that I'm interested in.

I was tempted to make the 6 hour drive for this morning but probably just going to order on eBay. Prices are coming down. 75 is the cheapest I've seen.

It was about a 20 minute drive from here (or would have been without traffic). I skipped going to D Street immediately and went to Le Petit Chalet when the park first opened and got it there

Yeah, those Rock Candy ones look really good. Wish Raven had her hood up though.

The Wonder Woman line must've done well for them to make another wave.

We got a release window on those The Shining Pops? They were supposed to drop late August, right?
The blog post says "this summer" and "coming in August", but I haven't seen anyone saying they've got one or seen them anywhere. Amazon has the release date up as September 22nd.

The Destiny Pops say the same thing and people are just now starting to get their preorders in at GameStop.

Couple of things:

First a question: If I bought a Disneytreasures subscription box and the payment went through but I didn't want it to renew so I cancelled the auto-renew, do I still get the box I paid for?

Also, looking at the tagline for the Haunted Forest box it will almost certainly have something Haunted Mansion related since it starts with "Welcome, Foolish Mortals"

It might not be the exact same, but from the other two boxes I cancelled this year (from different services), you usually get what you paid for and it cancels afterwards.

At this point, Gamestop primarily exists to serve as a Funko store for me, it seems:

My Soldier 76 arrived today, Ken was free with their club thing last week, and picked up the SDCC Joker Bats mostly just because I saw one in-person.
