Furry Convention is in town

Most of them are reasonably sized and appear to fit within the same universe and then you have this ass hole with the super cartoony, oversized Scooby Doo head near the bottom right.
Ironically out of the hundreds of florescent ugly costumes in that pic, the one you are pointing out (and Master Chief too I guess) is the only one I recognize as a legitimate character/mascot!

EDIT: fuck me, just read the last page, beaten with the bushy tail of a dire wolf furry.

If I'm looking at what you are, that's the 1994 USA World Cup mascot. lol

Yeah there's a difference between a wolf man and a wolf.

I can't imagine a Gaf with out Teh Hamburglar.

Who else will burgle us?

Anytime I try to wrap my mind around being socially accepting of these people, I'm still fucking creeped out beyond words.

Because you're using a stereotype to view them. People have said that the suiting people are just the "vocal minority" whereas you'll find more furries who hate wearing them.

A friend of mine a couple years ago "came out" to me about him being a furry. He actually called it a coming out. He is a fox... and I just listened.. and then said, good for you.

I had no idea how to respond to something like this out of the blue.

If he ever references "putting on lipstick", run like hell.

I'm more creeped out on people coming out of "anything". Can't they just do these things as a hobby?

For most of the furries I've met it's a lifestyle to them, not a hobby. That's probably the main contributing factor to why people get uncomfortable, and the catalyst to the coming Great Furry Pogrom of 2014.

I don't understand this.

I first heard of furry like 10 years ago. Back then it seemed like just this small cliche of loner nerds who would soon grow out of it and look back with embarrassment. Like a one-time thing - these nerds grow up and get married and have kids and the next group of nerds latch onto something else dumb.

But no. If anything it's more popular now.
