Hell Let Loose: Vietnam and Tormented Souls 2 release date already got me bricked up. The new RE gameplay looks MUCH better too. Cronos is day 1 survival horror goodness. Damn good showcase today.

EDIT: Little Nightmares 3, new Expanse game, Styx 3, holy shit today keeps giving

I think upwards of 80% or more the announcers said 'coming to Steam, Xbox, PS5'. The only iffy one was the Switch 2, which wasn't always listed with the other consoles and was oddly missing for a couple games that didn't seem graphically taxing.

For my personal picks:

Wildblue got me in a weird conflict. It looks like a Star Fox but for Modern Audience.
-> I like that we are getting a new Star Fox
-> The DA is really not my stuff

Phantom Blade Zero looks great and I'm hyped for this one.

Blood of Dawnwalker looks really good.

My personal standouts:

  • Fellowship (Distilling an RPG to a pure 4 player PvE dungeon raids experience sounds really interesting)
  • Recur (Cool rewind/Fast foward mechanics)
  • Styx (mainly because no one else is doing Thief/Splinter Cell-style stealth right now)
  • Town of ZoZ (looks like a more fun version of the usual type of genre)
  • Robo Frenzy (looks zany and fun)
  • Bounty Star (also looks zany and fun)

Somehow this ended up being the best games showcase this whole year, David Hayter and the Lady Dimitrescu girl throwing Metal Gear and RE jokes left and right without being cringe, most trailers were actually gameplay, They showed games for literally every taste and audience, RE9 actually showing gameplay, Pragmata finally bringing innovation to a AAA this gen, the Phantom Blade Zero Director openly calling out everyone calling his game a Soulslike when it's not, Lost Hellden bringing a legion of Old School JRPG devs, A freaking new Star Fox finally, the Ex-Witcher devs cooking Witcher 4 with an interesting non-woke EuroRPG, Hell is Us and Cronos looking like absolute GOTY contenders and overall an amazing videogame showcase.

IIRC I think their summer show also had a better library than Summer Games Fest this year too. It seems like aside from winter TGAs, they have started to outpace Geoff at his own strengths.

Okay I don't know this Halloween trailer is pretty meh. BUT it's fucking Halloween, my favorite horror movie of all time so no question I'll be there day 1 whatever this is, especially with that story mode part mentioned.
And now the question is: actually what the hell is going on with Halloween and Hellraiser games being announced within few weeks? Am I dreaming or what?

Men_in_Boxes Men_in_Boxes

Any games you're taking an interest in? We have such different tastes that I'm genuinely curious.
The main ones are...

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam - If the reception is good and it releases during a drought.

Den of Thieves - If the reception is good and there's a bigger "non action" component that wasn't in the trailer

Wildblue - If the reviews are good and it's on sale.

Lot of cool indie games there that I'd take another look at with a ~93+ metascore.

Xbox at Gamescom has been showing some new trailers during their livestreams. Not enough of them for it's own thread so I figured I'd share them here:

Project Bloomwalker, a Nintendo-inspired action/adventure with some crafting:

Kill the Brickman, a brick blaster game with roguelike elements similar in style to Balatro:

A Fate's End, a Metroidvania where you fight the ones you love:

Void/Breaker, Roguelite FPS with deep gun modding and environmental destruction

I'll update this post with more if they post more.
