I still remember the anticipation during the very first surprise FFXIV trailer. Everyone thought Jack Tretton messed up and meant XIII, people started seeing what looked like Galka and thought an SP Vana'diel game, then bam XIV online hit and everyone either jumped for joy or jumped through a window.

I don't even ask that much, I just want them to breath new life into FFXI. It deserves so much more than to just wither and die. Killing the console versions just sucks so much to me, but like bring the damn game to PS4 as a free download, and just charge the sub. Seriously...if fucking Everquest can still be alive, FFXI deserves to keep going.

I doubt a new sub based MMO will be made by SE with FFXIV out there. If there's a update to FFXI I'll be ready with the PC version, with this phone vana'diel news I can only imagine a tribute ffxi game for ps4/xbox/wiiu/pc at this moment.
