It's one thing to fuck up. It's another thing not to address the fuck up and continue fucking up, one raid after another. Their methods need to be changed. The laws need to be changed. There is a resolution for this problem. It's not just a single fuck up.

Yep, it's far beyond a single fuckup at this point. In a country with a right to self defence, if cops don't identify themselves this will happen over and over again, and it will not be the home owners fault.

Then you're an idiot if you believe a 1 in thousand chance is too small a margin of error. No job on earth has margin of error that small.

Well I work in operations for a pharmaceutical company. If we had a margin of error of one in a thousand and one person out of every 1000 died from taking our drug, we'd be in some serious shit.

Working in banking and dealing with people's money, my staffs margin of error is set in the thousandths or lower. We screw up and entire corporations are screwed.

The argument against that is... "But it will give the Heavily armored and militarized police away and the thief will flush all of their drugs down the toilet! Or, use the back door!"

Or in this case the innocent will not be brandishing firearms at SWAT teams.

If at any point convictions, especially pointless drug convictions become more important than human life then we've all lost our way.

Drug laws are the main problems. Its the gateway into having your life ruined by the penal system for the entirety of it for most without opportunity.

Its going to take a lot of crow eating to admit it was a gigantic monumental failure, and a % of the population will never admit that.

The $ incentives on it are going to keep it entrenched for a long time because police don't want to give up their cash cows.

Sometimes I wonder why the cops don't bomb anything in a radius of five miles where a suspected criminal is supposedly at into ashes?

Propably because nobody'd be alive a week later.
