Started watching this new SyFy show starring Alan Tudyk with moderate expectations and boy, has it blown me away. The first couple of episodes are laying the groundwork. Still funny and engaging, but by episode 4 it becomes edge of your seat stuff. I have watched 6 episodes in all and absolutely love it. It has pitch perfect performance from Tudyk, and the rest of the cast shines too. There are lough out loud moments throughout, complex characters, wholesome feeling and cozy atmosphere.

I would describe it as Twin peaks but also very funny and with aliens. Go watch it now!

Yes, I enjoyed the show a lot! The low budget is obvious but I never tired of Tudyk acting human - it's been renewed for season two which is great news!

Ah sweet. It's hard to keep track of all these shows, so it is good to get a heads up. First season was hilarious, although it did start to lose a little steam towards the end. Hopefully they can kick it back into high gear in the new season.

Season 2 took waaaaaay too long to get rolling but by the end (or mid-season break) it got good.

Dem ladies need to skip the buffet and hit the treadmill though. Wardrobe can only do so much. Even the mayor's wife, maybe there was a buncha pregnancies?

Watching this alongside The Boys Season 3 makes you feel veeeeeery uncomfortable about calamari

No every woman in the world is wafer thin. The women in the show look normal. I think that is good casting.

The Mayors wife is extremely attractive.

The deputy is funny, but not attractive.

A shows quality is not dictated by the attractiveness of the women in it.

Sure, I like it too but there is a ratio of "cool alien shit" to "how desperate are these women to keep throwing themselves at such a creepy dude?" and soap opera drama that they need to adjust.
