I'm at a friend's bday 'party' right now and it's pretty dead. Save me. I'd rather be almost anywhere but here right now. :-\ Gah. At least there are some people here I can talk to and stuff, but for the most part it's a lamefest of sitting around and not doing a heck of a lot. Wish I was at a concert or out with a chick or something. Blah. Have YOU been in this situation before?

It happens quite often when someone I know says, "Let's have a party thing!" 3 hours before the time he decides to have it and hardly anyone can make it.

I quite like the sitting round with a beer and talking to people thing though. If they're interesting, I don't see the problem. Unless you were all hyped up for a big party of course.

I've been to a couple boring parties. Usually, they're during the day. It's when nobody feels like dancing and everybody carries a conversation with other people while standing at the wall.

You can always leave early.

I don't think I've ever been to a party (at someone's house) where people are dancing. I always think of clubbing as the time to dance, parties are more the time to do really stupid stuff.
