Should wait until the GAF-Hop awards results are up. So we can make that the OT and have an excuse to keep it in OT.

We can all agree that the "future of hip-hop" thread kinda BECAME this and to kinda keep that seperate and not fuck it up anymore, here's your all things boom bap thread. Reccomendations? New mixtape just dropped? Is Reasonable Doubt still the best Jay album (Of course it is, don't debate this, I'm just making a fucking example >:[ )

To kick it off right, one of my most anticipated albums for this year:
spj7ux.jpg

Kid Cudi - You Can Call Me Moon Man
Going off Wiki, this is the last track on his album.

Alternative Hip-Hop not your shit? Everbody's favorite coke rappers bring us some new shit (typical clipse, fucking dirty ass beat UNF):
xkujya.jpg

Clipse - Warning (It's off a mixtape)

Also, SLAUGHTERHOUSESLAUGHTERHOUSESLAUGHTERHOUSESLAUGHTERHOUSE.

You late on this one, but it's all good. Listen to that whole album in addition. It's a classic in my opinion. What song does that sample by the way?

Yeah, I'm getting there LOL. I"ve been listening to Hip Hop not very long (I mean, I first heard my first rap song in 2000, I was like nine and there was no way I was getting any rap albums at that age). I think I bought my first album in 2003; it was that Eminem album that I always wanted. That was one of the most exciting days of my life.

Fire by Arthur Brown I think.

It samples this song, and I fucking love that song so it works very well.

De La Soul....oh yeah. The Roots are amazing too, though my favorite albums from them are Halflife and Things Fall Apart. I haven't heard of Little Brother or Zion I though. Sounds like some new music to give a shot to.\

EDIT: I opened No More Greener Grasses...this is fucking nice. I love the bass.

Second Edit: Oh fuck.....this is good....
