funny...well not funny story. kinda odd. we had a sub in HS, old guy, pretty weird mannerisms & whatnot but we just figured he was a gay old guy. so one day either my SR year or the FR year of college, i'm watching the news w/ my mom and he comes up on the news.
mom: "oh lord, what is he in trouble for now." all types of child molestation/pedophile charges. kids like 10-16 or something like that.
me: "damn that dude was one of our old subs. always thought he was kinda weird."
mom: "what the fuck? they actually let him in SCHOOLS!!!?!?!?! that sick motherfucker been weird as hell ever since we were kids."
come to find out he's a distant relative. she was less than pleased that he was ever allowed in the classrooms but i guess he'd never actually been caught before.

Edit: It's a little slow in the beginning imo, but it definitely starts to pick up soon after that.
DJ Shadow's definitely not for everyone. For some reason I love his stuff, its like this weird mix of golden age stuff with shit pulled out of the future.
that album wasnt for me I should have said. I love all of his older work, but his new shit, I can't just get into too much.

Yeah set ended up being pretty good, take back what I said. Also for the people that suggested that Future's Pluto was somehow good, I feel like someone just shit in my ears and my drums are permanently stained.

DJ Shadow only has one good album
I don't even think I'd debate that with you. A bunch of his stuff is pretty mixed- he gets experimental, and sometimes a bunch of it doesn't pan out. But when it does, I think its pretty cool.
