Yea Kendrick opened. His set was good, but he still has the same issues with skipping out a lot of words. I don't know his reason for it but it really throws me off when I'm rapping along.
The screen behind Kendrick while he was rapping was really interesting though. And when he did Sing About Me.. :cryfam:

The album has incredible production but Veggies and Fresh kind of fuck around over the beats. The beats are wasted, they don't really add much of anything enjoyable.

It's weird, but when you can anticipate the punches and the punches are timeless (much like quotables in music) you go into them and get the same payoff. Some battles have very complex schemes too and you pick up more shit going back to them that you couldn't imagine was related to anything else the first time you ran through it. It also helps when you have a crowd/people on stage reacting to that stuff and making it that much more entertaining. Like Poison Pen reacting to Lux destroying Calicoe:

Serius Jones is one of the OG freestylers. He doesn't get bodied often, though he was part of Fight Klub for a while and they were known to set up/fix battles in favour of the dudes they liked (they would bring people in and switch who they were facing on the spot to give their own dudes an easy W because it broke most of their opponent's preparation). Serius vs. Clips was his return to battle rapping after many, many years (he signed to DTP briefly).
Specifically that freestyle is at the beginning of Clips' second round but both of their first rounds are also worth watching, Serius Jones has a crazy freestyle too.
We'll likely never see him rap again because of this. Punk ass Math.
