Just saw this "Young Thug" guy for the first time in a video" Lifestyle" saying he isnt hitting the Pussy, criticizing it while hugging up on Baby and a bunch of other Bloods.

His harmonizing its probably the most annoying use of autotune ever?, right?
Where the hell Baby find this guy?. Is this future of "Rich Gang"?

Do ya see longevity in this guy?, he seems like Future with a cartoony pitchy voice atleast in this track, unless this basically shows all he has to offer?.

Young thug and future are both complete dogshit. Their fan base consists of the deaf community, 13 year old white kids, and people who hate themselves.

Listened to the Jay Rock track...yea the beat sounds like it's from a Chronic 2001 beat kit but it's dope. But the beat is so funky it needs someone to just flow over it like water, and instead Jay Rock sounds kinda hesitant. He's always trying to find the beat, in a sense. Imagine Gibbs on this for instance...

Jay Rock is a new documentary "Game" type of rapper, so its no surprise

I dont even want to know how he sounds LIVE on stage, wont try to find out either this Lifestyle video was enough.

Young Thug is more charismatic than Future in my opinion, but they both sound horrible on softer tracks. They're both built for bangers.

The energy Thugger oozes in some tracks tho, is out of this world. Probably feature killer of 2014.

Yes, feature killer, as in he kills all interest in a song whenever he starts mewling on a track like a dying baby walrus.

Young Thug = one hot track every 3 project average. The rest sounds like Pokemon being thrown into a blender.
1017 thug is p much his only canon solo project so far tho. Gucci and co. have been releasing a bunch of old shit with only a few sporadic tracks worth listening to. He doesn't even need a studio album, just a mixtape recorded in the last year with good production. If Metrothuggin is ever a thing it should be his best project yet.

I don't support taking our youth, exposing them to the most violent and drug-infested parts of urban culture and raising them in the limelight...

But when I do it's Lil Mouse's fuck around fuck around fuck around fuck around and Get Smoked.

There was a Lil Chuckie or w/e song a while ago that was straight too, off of one of Wayne's tapes. To think, that kid is probably a teenager now.

There were some diamond in the rough performances in the cyphers I thought. Snow Tha Product, Logic, Dee-1, the second half of Banner, and the contest winner Detroit Che were all good.

Charron needs to stick to acapella though.

his bars are tight for a chiraq trap song.
Not everyone from Chicago is like keef. Plenty of these guys can spit a decent 16. The thing Chicago doesn't have is dudes who can put together a decent song concept about anything other than the most basic bitches suck my dick and I kill dudes shit. Blame it on the education or something.

Live Cypher:
Arsonal was fire, Mook was good, dat shot at Drake
put your career back in a wheelchair
Couture and Calicoe were meh.

David Banner Cypher:
God Vic Mensa is so terrible. Snow Tha Product was kind of impressive. Treach was swagging a bit. David Banner was trying to say some shit, but he was coming off wack, went acapella and that shit fell apart even more.

Taylor Gang Cypher:
Juicy J killed it, because everyone else in Taylor Gang is so unimaginably terrible, but you already knew this. It's actually fascinating how they all consistently sound like it's their first time riding a beat. Wiz looking like 85% of his body weight is in his hoodie.

Lil Mama Cypher:
lol, Troy Ave rhymed Lex with Lex. Detroit Che turned up and Dee-1 did his thing too. Logic did pretty much exactly what you'd expect him to do, insult BET audience, rap fast, talk about being white. Yawn. We not gonna talk about Lil Mama.

URL Digital All Star Cypher:
They all went in and were entertaining except for Surf and some minor tinfoil HURR ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE DISTRACTING U ignance from Rain. I can't help but feel like every time I see Surf spit he looks like he's about to choke though, even at the end there it looks like he does.

- - -

Best one was easily the URL one, and then the Banner cypher. Disappointing overall, I really look forward to these every year. Then again, we're pretty much one or two years away from a Young Thug/Future/Rich Homie Quan/Migos cypher so yeah.

Oh I forgot to watch two of them lol Better link here, but they play all at once.

Papoose/Remy Ma Cypher:
Jarren Benton is super fucking talented, but I'm not tryna hear you spit in a Tanooki suit breh. Papoose and Ma were corny.
Charron DA GAWD.. was boring :(
I literally can not wait for the Charron vs. Shotgun Suge battle to come out, dude is a beast.

Loaded Lux Cypher:
OT Genosha or w/e was boring as hell and G-Eazy was corny. Gates and Lux were good.

Have we had a GAF-Hop discussion on G-Eazy? Dude seems to have a lot of buzz and momentum, but I don't get his appeal, or why I Mean It has so many views.

I remember talking about it a while ago briefly. I was pushing his old ep on here from a few years back. Production was fantastic but even back then he was a generic rapper with nothing to say. He has the marketable look though, and appeals to all the young white college age dudes who think they are pimp gods and use words like swag and Yolo without a hint of irony. He still has some great production but his sample heavy stuff from his old ep was just leaps and bounds better. I always think of him as a whiter drake with less lyrical ability. The track with e40 on his new album is pretty dope though.
