Rockstar pretty much threw single player DLC for GTA5 in the bushes after seeing how successful GTA Online was, and I can't help but think the single player we got was compromised for it as well.

V's story wrapped up nicely though we didn't need DLC.

True, but there was a whole casino area in single player that was promised to "open" at some point i.e. was meant to be DLC that never panned out. Seriously, imagine an Ocean's 11 Heist done out of spite for the casino's owner. There are a bunch of incredibly cool things that GTA 5's heists never fully capitalized on which sucks.
