Oh, looking forward to that one at least. But why "weirdly enough"? Thugga pretty much always kills features. So, I think off of the first listen I fuck with about 8 tracks out of 21. With Views, I fucked with 7 out of the 19 new tracks. So, about the same. Weirdly enough, the fucking MVP on this thing is Young Thug. He really did some cool things with his features.
I don't really fuck with Young Thug the way that most others here do i.e. Jeffrey was nowhere near my favorite rap project of 2016. So, it was surprising to me for him to have a feature that wasn't only dope but also kind of a shift from his normal sing-song style.Oh, looking forward to that one at least. can't help but roll my eyes when people pretend that young thug isn't mediocre.
Says the dude who's listening to Drake, right now.can't help but roll my eyes when people pretend that young thug isn't mediocre.
Yeah man different tastes suck
1 track in and this is already better than views
I mean, he's enjoyable in situations where you need bangers e.g.the gym or at a party. I appreciate what he's doing in terms of rap, but his songs don't connect with me in the same way it does for you or Helmholtz. Maybe it's just that I don't listen to his songs casually and so I haven't had that moment where it clicks for me and I become that rabid fan. It's not like I hate him, I just haven't found a song by him that clicks the same way "March Madness" did or "T-Shirt" did.
First track is trash. Get It Together was nice at least. The Blem beat is cool. At 4422 now. He's not on every song, right? Isn't it supposed to be like a "label sampler"?1 track in and this is already better than views
I think he's basically on every track. This is an album, fuck out of here with that playlist shit.First track is trash. Get It Together was nice at least. The Blem beat is cool. At 4422 now. He's not on every song, right? Isn't it supposed to be like a "label sampler"?

I was already noticing this trend after Get Right Witcha, Mask Off and Tunnel Vision. I'm liking it though.whats with this medieval flute.
I won't lie, I'm not casually listening to him much anymore either (I had a long Thugga phase two years ago, though). Barter 6 elevated him for me back then and became my AOTY because Thugga sounded so fresh to me and really opened me up completely for this new sound and wave of rappers. Maybe listen to Barter 6 front to back. It's pretty laid-back and more fitting for a casual listen unlike the banger-heavy mixtapes.I mean, he's enjoyable in situations where you need bangers e.g.the gym or at a party. Aside, the production on Glow is amazing. 40 and Kanye did their things on that track and it shows,
Of course, lol. Was a hit back then.drake track 14 teenage fever samples a song form the past I totally forgot about but loved it. Anyone remember the song?
whats with this medieval flute.
Lol, yeah, joked about 2017 being the year of the flute in Rap a few days ago and now there's another one. Loving it, haha.I was already noticing this trend after Get Right Witcha, Mask Off and Tunnel Vision. I'm liking it though.
That's a synth flute. The recent ones have all been samples.
Barter 6 is in my gym playlist so I do listen to it quite often, which was the same case with DS2. I've added Slime Season 3 and JEFFREY as well to there.I won't lie, I'm not casually listening to him much anymore either (I had a long Thugga phase two years ago, though).
