Never been a big Migos guy but Culture is fucking fire. Easy listen, I didn't get wore out by the end like someone said. No real filler, it's solidly consistent. And holy shit, I hadn't heard any of the singles either and wow, Bad & Boujee and T-Shirt are like 10 flame emojis. First album of 2017 that feels like a top 10 contender. Good shit.
Yeah, Culture is cool.
Edit: Okay, nah, it's boring after the first few songs.
Might be the wackest hook in a long time.
Lol, those would've been my two (and probably only) favorite songs of his, too.
Maccondordian is a fuckboy. In The Bity should have been the end of his chapter. That's the type of music slaves got beat to, I cant fuck with it. Especially not in February.
Haha. Yeah I'm still not sure if I'd call him a "good" artist. I like him for inspiring this Gaf-Hop classic though.
Listen to In the Bity for a good laugh.
Yeah, Quavo definitely is the best of the bunch. Offset had some good ones, too. Takeoff is the least emorable to me. Other than Quavo I still have trouble telling the other two apart sometimes, though.Missy Elliot ft. Lamb - I'm Better video. Not really feeling this. Very Missy-esque video, not so much for the song.
Haven't really paid much attention to Migos in the past because not enough of their stuff has stuck with me, but, at least as far as singles goes, they seem to be hitting their stride and have earned their first full project listen from me.
EDIT: Also Quavo killing a million features last year might have more to do with it. Just cooking on every verse. How the fuck do I have multiple verses from the same rapper stuck in my head right now?
That guy really wants to suck Frank's dick.
is there a version of bounce back but like without sean's struggle verses
asking 4 a friend
It's a big sean song
yes, now is there a version without big sean on it?
You brehs can admit you like a big sean hook tho
damn, that's a shame
i was here hoping it'd join the ranks of other classic migos efforts, such as

10 tracks into the Migos album.. it's kind of what I was afraid of, which is most of the songs that aren't the singles are pretty unremarkable.
Yeah.. the singles are probably the only tracks on there that I'll go back to. T-Shirt still a monster trackThe album is pretty good. The singles are by far the best tracks on there. I went in expecting to hear a few more songs as good as T-Shirt and B&B but no. Still a good album and a nice start to the year.
I'm struggling with releasing bedwetter. I look at it less like an album and more like a sonic document of my life at this exact moment. a conveniently placed microphone and finger on a record button. I don't want to be misconstrued as sensationalizing mental illness, disassociation, trauma. I don't want to look at reviews of how "dope" it is, or how this one song sounded like some fool I'm not even familiar with.
I can't get help, bottom line. I've tried. I can't get appointments, the emergency hospital discharged me cuz I "didn't want to kill myself or anybody else". I'm thankful for the people I have around me that are trying to help. I don't know where I'd be with out that support but I feel like all I can do to remain positive is record. At least create something. It's exercise. It's a walk around the block. It's getting out of bed. Hip hop, to me, IS about keeping it real. Rap is supposed to be reality. my reality is fucked. If you look at everything post MTI that's what I've done. I've attempted to shed this unwanted understanding of what this project was and thru the platform and audience I have, attempt to explain what it could be. I'm weary to release this project as a whole. I will because maybe at the least I won't feel as alone or some people that hear it will feel less alone but as someone who values and even fights for his privacy at the expense of himself. This record is difficult. There's a lot of songs. Im probably gonna break them into chapters or something. Idk.
Happy Birthday Cheddahz!
In honor of iLoveMakkonnen coming out this week, please post your favorite songs by him.

Cornrow Kenny now confirmed to drop back-to-back-to-back classics though. The one time we NEED hip hop to be political every major artist keeps their mouth shut
And then you have dumb fucks like Kanye cooning for the likes of the right

And in all honesty, I think it is going to come back in a major way over the next couple of months. I mean, it's only been a week since he's been elected and all this shit has happened. Maybe everyone hoped he'd turn out to be decent, but now that his true colors have been revealed, I'd bet there's going to be a veritable renaissance of politcially charged hip-hop. Hell, look at T.I. He went from going all trap into dropping two incredibly political works. Guys like Vic Mensa, Kendrick Lamar, Kemba, Pusha T, etc. are all in the studio now, definitely cooking up something.
Pusha changed his album title from King Push to Blobama, a change I think implies a more political bent. Vic's abandoned Traffic for something...else. And you're going to hear a lot more voices come out against this bullshit. I think what'll really be interesting is to see how really famous rappers/hip-hop artists i.e. Kanye, Drake, the Weeknd, Diddy, Pharrell, Jay Z etc. will react to this. Who're the ones that'll be silent throughout this?
Jay already didn't comment when asked about Trump the other day.Cornrow Kenny now confirmed to drop back-to-back-to-back classics though.

I think we all wanted to believe he'd be someone decent once he got into power. IT was our last resort; when everything else had failed us, when the facts were staring us in the face, a lot of us, me included, just kinda hoped he'd turn out to be someone playing the Republican party in some grand Andy Kaufman-esque stunt. Well, that chance has been given and he's turned out to be just as shitty as we had dreamed of. In all honesty, we can protest all we want but the only thing that'll change this is if, in his idiocy and lack of foresight, he decides to harm the voter base that elected him in the first place.but Dave Chappelle said to give Trump a chance

I'm just mad it wasn't here back in November or December when that fuckwit was elected
