So I'm thinking about getting a laptop. I usually use a desktop, but I find that maybe getting a laptop might be convenient for doing some other stuff like bringing it to a friends house or somethin. So here's what I'm looking for:

$500-$550
4 USB ports
200+ GB
2-3 GB RAM
9 button num pad
HDMI port (optional)
DVD-RW
Silver, blue, black color
Decent video card (optional)

I'm thinking maybe this one? I've done my research in the past buying laptops but I always ending getting a crappy one. Please help!

The Dell Inspiron 1440 is fairly decent, or if you don't care too much about battery life get one of those AMD Turion laptops.
EDIT: Actually that Gateway you mentioned is pretty good and has pretty much the same specs as the Dell.

Er I'd love to, but for recreational use I really don't need one that expensive.

Any thing with a Dual Core CPU.

if you get a laptop thats 500$ and up with only a single core in 2010 just throw it in the trash.

NV5378u More hard drive space and better graphic card but same price.
Lenova above is not bad, but it has shit graphic card and 32 bit OS.

Anything less than $1K is going to suck. If you can't spend at least $1K, you probably shouldn't buy a laptop.
