GAF. I need Help. Gamer ADHD here. Force me to complete a game and hold me accountable please

Add some autism to ur adhd, it'll help as you obsess over completing it.

Im unmediated as the meds can dampen creativity, however, depending where you are, my US colleague has fixed his by microdosing magic mushrooms, he's been hyper productive ever since and able to focus fully without any of the side effects the typical prescribed pharmaceutical options come with. Sadly I'm in the UK, and whilst I could literally buy magic mushrooms over the counter when I was in uni, they were made class A about 15-20 years ago.

If ur in the US you can grab them from your local dispensary, get a grinder, research the correct dosage for microdosing. You won't trip, it'll just bring control and focus back to your life.

have you ever played THE STANLEY PARABLE: ULTRA DELUXE ? It can be basically ´finished´ in 5 minutes (...) BUT if you go for the various Trophies/Achievments, its almost therapeutic/carthartic as it offers LOTS of hilarous Meta Commentary on Gaming itself... ☝️:messenger_halo:

Literally the headline says it helps mental health conditions, and warns not to take it recreationally, which is exactly what I'm suggesting they do. Microdosing is not taking it recreationally, it will have zero recreational purposes, it will not "make you high".

As for those trial, our social media manager was actually in one down in London, it saved her life and cured her of her anorexia.

Additionally have you seen the list of side effects on the speed based meds they prescribe for adhd? It's massive, they put my wife's boss in hospital the first time he tried them (tho to be fair the pharmacist fucked up and gave him wayyyy too high a dose…I'm still honestly not sure how that happened or how it's possible, but 🤷‍♂️). Tho I have a different biz partner who has been on them for 8 months now and they seem to work. They had to try a couple of drugs on him, first one just made him feel high, second one worked as intended.

Watch Asmongold. He's also suffering from ADHD. I s you could get the best of us like he do and I mean what I just said but you just have to be patient.

I hear you, but I added a second article pertaining to microdosing, just be careful handing out unprofessional advice about this stuff, rather suggest the guy approach a medical professional formally for advice on this kind of alternative treatment.

Probably a good idea to have access to specific medical grade products, it can get dodgy when the market is flooded as per that article, but also when it's a black market, especially black market, stuff can get laced, pesticides etc.

I didn't know this has been classified (very) illegal in the UK, also remember it used to be available at the shops in London, wasn't a big deal at all at the time.

People will cry about the economy and then go out and buy shit tons of stuff they dont actually want FFS lol

Fo real though, dont make a "backlog" because you are never finishing it. You will just buy the new shiny thing that's gonna come out, before you finish the rest.
Find a game you want to play, and If you dont finish EVERY game you bought, then so what? It is what it is. Just make more responsible purchasing decisions and learn instead of trying to find ways to justify your life style.

Finish expedition 33 OP.
It is not that long, has a good story and fun gameplay if you're into turn based rpgs.
Then play Black Myth Wukong, it is not that long either, has a fantastic art direction and great story.
If you don't you have to buy me tainted grail fall of avalon on PS5.

Play a nice, classic, straightforward game to completion. I heartily recommend Quake II or Hexen. Simple, not hard to commit to, satisfying, and progressing through them is fun and rewarding.

Quake II is totally slept on.

Okay OP beat Baldur's Gate 3

I think it's a nigh-impossible task. The quality of the game just absolutely nosedives after Act 1, to the point where I have just no interest in continuing on. I don't think I'll ever finish that game, and I've spent maybe hundreds of hours on it since release. Not a good recommendation. Like, the antithesis.

Start simple. One at a time.

I've got almost 800 Steam games. (Up from just under 600 last year)

I've got hundreds on PS, Xbox and switch.

I need help and direction. Booting up a game. Can do. Playing for a few hours. Can do. Completing is next level for me. I just bounce around too much.

What do I do?

What game should I tackle? I kinda Always end up playing dark souls AGAIN. (Still not done all its quest lines)
Rub one out ... your body will be filled with relaxing stimulants and no anxiety whatsoever then just go play the game.. as soons as you are feeling like accelerating again just repeat the process.
