I couldn't believe that. I still can't. I probably have played over 100 games with you, and both of the league games this season have resulted in Peyton being knocked out in the first quarter. I'm not laughing at that, it's just pathetic. I can't play you an even playing field. Fuck that. I won't sulk too much, but it was just ridiculous. Between this game and the Raps losing, it's enough to make me give up my interest in sports.

I thought I was cursed against Dm....you seem to be cursed against me right now in league play,cause lately you have had no problem beating me in non league gms.
I'm sure you would have crushed me had Manning played the whole game,but I had that happen to me a couple of times with Carr last season so know I have been through that same shit.
Another thing I dont get fifty...you manage to stop Boller in non league games,but have problems with him in league games? :\

Yeah, I couldn't believe that I wasn't able to go for it on 4th and goal at the 3, but you could go for it at my 28. It's just bullshit. Fair play? My ass. Foul play. That doesn't bother me that much, because it didn't change the outcome of the game.
Get this. I'm playing safety, there is a WR and a TE on the right side of the field. Heap and the amazing travis taylor, who all of a sudden is an all star when you use him. Well Heap gets a step on the linebacker (of course, since my LBs are average and Heap is great, and Travis is man to man with my CB. I realize they're both doing a streak route, so I go after the WR...but since the TE is much better than my safety, I can't do anything about that and he gets a huge completion. I think the same exact situation happened where I decided to cover heap, and the WR got the big gain. It's ridiculous....Everyone has to be in double coverage. If the Ravens WRs are owning me every play that they're not doubled, I'm fucked. If I lose my #1 player, well I'm really fucked.

I hate to say it but maybe its time you stopped playing safety :\ When I run plays like that you have a 90% chance of getting screwed,as I just need to find the right man in single coverage.
I know you like playing saftey but sometimes you just cant react quick enough to stop streaks like those.

someone off screen? on my td pass to moss i dont know what you were playing (looked like zone) and i got bumped, then i used max passing to squeeze it between your LB/safety. come on dude, you have vick, the last thing i want to hear is how something is dirty. i'm not saying its your fault for the way vick is, but it is a complete crap shoot calling defense because whether i blitz or not it seems like vick can run around behind the LOS and give your receivers LITERALLY 10 seconds to get open. thats almost impossible to defend
but honestly, slants aren't why you lost. i tried a slant on my 2nd to last drive at midfield and it almost got picked. they aren't money, but if you want to blame slants then so be it

anyways heres a recap of the game for those of you who care:
1st quarter: I get to midfield with some nice running then had to punt. ramirez' first drive vick runs for 18 on 2nd and 20, then goes on for a first down, ends in a dunn TD. i get the ball back, score in 2 plays on a 78 yard pass. 7-7 at the end of 1.
2nd quarter: finally stop vick, go get a fg. ramirez counters with an 80 yard TD pass. 14-10. i drive down in the last 2 mins and score a TD w/ about 40 seconds left. again, vick gouges my D to get into FG range. 17-all at the half.
3rd quarter: touchdown for ramirez on the first drive of the half. i counter with a TD. 24-all at the end of 3.
4th quarter: i get the ball with 3 mins, and i'm driving. i get to near midfield, and run the ball on first down. i get hit-sticked in the backfield, fumble ramirez recovers with 1:48 left. on ramirez first play, he runs, i hit stick him, fumble and i get the ball back. i think you know what happened after that. i run the ball all the way inside his 20, run the clock to nothin, and win the game. good bye undefeated season, hello sweet ten bucks!

How can Vick be cheese when I ran only twice?You sacked him like 3-4 times with those fuckin CB blitzes,so I fail to see how its an uneven playin field,its not like you never touched him.

dude its not about running with him. do you know how much time you have in the pocket compared to other QB's? Do you know how impossible it is to keep coverage when the QB runs around behind the pocket for 10 seconds? the ONLY way i could hope to stop that is to blitz at least 2 guys every time. anytime i dropped back in coverage, none of my linemen could even get close to you and eventually your guy would break open.
there have been plenty of people, in this league season even, that have shutdown the slant play. call some cover 2 zones, the slants wont work. i think the problem is you want one defense to magically shutdown everything (for instance, man to man) and that just wont work. but i dont know, maybe you did call that play and i got lucky. like i said, the slants are a moot point if you shutdown my running game, but you didn't. what else can i say?

I agree with this. Drop into cover 2/cover 3 and you can easily stop middle slants and even outside slants. Heck even Cover 1 might work. As good as you are (Or should I say lucky!) you should have considered that.

And I had just as much success with the Steelers passing game,so I don't think Vick has anything to do with that,but I mean thats real life,Vick creates problems,I can't help the man is a different breed of athlete :lol But cheesy would be me rolling out to one side every time and throwin it on an out route or whatever,but for the majority of the game Vick never leaves the pocket when I use him.

what can i say dude? people have stopped it on me before, maybe i just got lucky with it this time.
early in the season gunstar and bob held my running game in checkexcept with the steelers i could drop back in coverage. you can't do that with vick. like i said i realize it's not your fault. it's not that you will scramble or whatever, it's the threat. you had a 2nd and 21 from inside your 10, i drop back in coverage, and what happens? everyone is covered, you run w/ vick for 19 or 20 to bring up 3rd and short. the only recourse i have against vick IS blitzing the shit out of him. i tried to play coverage, i had no success. plan on seeing plenty of blitzing in 2 weeks when we meet again

dont bother fifty. unless you have ray lewis (and you dont anymore), vick can outrun any spy you put out on him. i did try some different schemes and spys involving CB's/D-line with some success, but like i said earlier it was a crap shoot keeping him in check.
the biggest problem i had was when i dropped into coverage, there was so much time and WR's were running crossing patterns that would basically turn out to be "picks" by his other offensive guys (or run my DB's into my other DB's), thereby his WR's would be open by 10+ yards.

I think I'm being penalized for not taking the Bears in season two. The giant floating ghost head of Papa Bear has decided to strike his anger down upon me. Ironically, it is the offense of the Rams that keeps on killing me in games. Turnovers galore. I scored more points running the Bears offense. :lol My defense has been playing halfway decent these last couple games, but my turnovers are just destroying me. In the last game alone I threw 3 ints returned for TDs. :/ Damn you Bulger.
Now I'm in at battle for that final playoff spot NFC style! :lol

This is true. I've become too pass happy with the rams WRs. Another problem is I realized that I think I picked the wrong style of time for my playstyle. I love to play power football, especially power running. Good thing I picked a finesse team like the Rams! :lol Don't you worry though I'll get it together for the playoffs!
Bob, you've always been too pass happy. Even when I played you and you used the Bears it seemed like you'd give up on the run after a bad drive or two. Maybe you've changed since we last played, but that's what I remember. Keep with it, use Jackson as well as Faulk, and then you'll be able to use this powerful offense in a way Martz only could dream of.

good game against gunstar last night, i won 30-10. here are some keys to the game:
* On gunstars first drive, it was 2nd and 21, he passed to westbrook in the flats who was wide open. he got about 10 yards and there was literally 1 man to beat and he would have been gone for a TD. i hit stick him and stopped him for the 10 yards. gunstar didn't convert on that drive. big play.
* End of the half, gunstar driving down 10-3 trying to get into FG range. throws a pick i return for a TD. 17-3 at the half.
* I got a couple PA TD passes cause i was having success with the run game.
