True, but the partners blew it right away by cursing the deceased out in the chat :p

It's super frustrating how apathetic most people seem to be about the vote, though. In a game I just played I got escort and successfully killblocked the mafia two nights in a row, yet the town abstained from voting for the next three days despite this information, leading to mafia just picking everyone off one by one.

Yeah, sucky when that happens. Jailor found SK night one and it was super obvious but no one would vote with me and one other guy. Then the flip side happens, jailor grabbed me night one and I was medium. I told him that I was medium and he got killed that same night (by mafia, so not even suspicious towards me), his will flips and he wrote "N1 - Sorian, claims medium but he is probably a killer" everyone immediately lynched me, on all of nothing.

With Retro's blessing, I have decided to mitigate some people's boredom by hosting ONUW 5. My plan is to allow all of you to sign up during the next 24 hours. There are 12 slots for the game and if more than 12 sign up then I will decide the player list based on how many ONUW games you've played in the past. I'm also giving Retro priority to play regardless since he's been a good sport about running the past games and maybe he wants in on the fun. That's up to him though, idk if he wants to play. My plan is to start the game tomorrow afternoon/evening US time. The discussion portion of the game will run 24 hours starting from 5pm eastern time (9pm GMT) on 10/14. At the same time on 10/15, the voting period will start. You all get one private vote sent to me directly, no changing vote once it's in and I will announce results once a strict majority is reach or if time expires (time permitting, I may make you suffer for the results). No discussion during voting time.

The most important thing I want to mention is that I will not be promising a balanced game. I am going to take a large set of the roles (both old roles you are used to and new roles that Gafia has not played with yet) and throw them into an RNG list and give you that. ONUW, by its nature, is not always a balanced beast but as long as there is one werewolf card in the game, it is completely playable and winnable by anyone playing. So with that, I hope you will enjoy ^_^

One of those regulars is the one that the alpha assigns to a player, the card doesn't materialize from thin air like the curator artifact can do.

it's actually usually fine when you play ranked games. you just can't group queue for ranked games because they don't want skype cheating.

I think you might have to win a bunch of games before you can do ranked though.

I think you have to play at least 50 games. And yes, town inactivity sucks, I won a game as the godfather because one towny didn't say or do anything in a 2 VS 2 situation. To be fair, they couldn't have won anyway, but still.

Wow. ONUW 5 looks like it's going to be nuts.

When I was running the ONUW games weekly, I was planning to do something special for every fifth or tenth game. I was mostly thinking about changing up the flavor to either another version of ONUW, (like the vampire theme,) or coming up with my own flavor. Then I got busy.

Sorian taking the helm for ONUW 5 and turning the insanity dial up to eleven seems a perfect way to still honor that idea. :) Super happy with what I see so far.

I'm hosting ONUW 10, though. Ya'll can argue about who does 6-9.

I mostly enjoyed Salem, except one game where there was a guy that spent the vast majority of the time dead just relentlessly insulting everyone. I reported him, as did others.

The game really needs a mute option though.

(I actually still don't know what that guy did exactly because, you know, I made it to the end of that game alive and won! ;)
