So Chrome allows you to turn off javascript if you are on Android, but not the iOS version. Fuck me, this is really starting to chap my ass.

Not gonna lie... I had to turn on AdBlock on GAF to make it stop. I'll turn it off again once this gets resolved.

I also need to do this every now and then when it appears a specific ad on NeoGAF is being bothersome. Recently some ad started slowing Firefox down to a crawl whenever I had a NeoGAF tab open in the browser. It does not happen in Chrome for some reason, but then you have to put up with its .gif incompetence. Can't win either way...

Have any admins acknowledged that this is an issue?

This is all i've found.

I PM'd Bish and didn't get a reply, but I don't know if they're on vacation. I PM'd a mod and they said it was being investigated by they didn't know more.

I'll PM someone else now. I'm hoping we're not at the mercy of Google finding them all and disabling the redirects.

Or use a javascript blocker extension so you can have finer-grained control over which scripts you allow. As an analogy, {disabling javascript globally} is to {having an adblocker on for everything} as {whitelisting stuff with a javascript blocker} is to {whitelisting GAF with your adblocker}. Some recommendations:

Safari:
* JavaScript Blocker (available under "Security" in the Safari Extensions gallery)

Firefox:
* NoScript
* GNU LibreJs (kind of has a different purpose than some of the others, but it still does block JavaScript)

Chrome:
* ScriptSafe (Formerly called "ScriptNo")
* HTTP SwitchBoard

Cross-browser:
* Ghostery (this one actually has advertising industry ties, but it works just about as well as the others for blocking stuff)

Sadly I can't install extensions at work, so I just have to disable JS on it. I'll be choosy when I get on my home computer.

Was happening to me nonstop this morning while browsing on my iPhone.

No issues on my PC. But I have NoScript so maybe that's why.

One thing that helped on iOS was to delete cookies and browser data. I stopped getting the same redirect ad over and over after that.

I had this happen to me also yesterday, it's even worse than lemode because I have to close the entire browser.
