GAF REQUEST: GAF Logo

Hey all:

I need some help from you guys out there who are great with Photoshop, or even better, Illustrator. GAF needs a logo. Note that it's not a NEW logo, maybe in due time we'll throw together a contest. But for immediate purposes, I would like to have a GAF logo that looks just like the current Gaming Age logo.

Of course, some stipulations:

1. I don't have the source file. If you can mimic the font, great times.

2. I can't pay you.

3. I'd prefer to have an EPS version, as well as a GIF.

So if you have the time, I'd be very thankful. Once you complete it, export to GIF and post it here. If we plan to use the logo, I'll contact you via PM.

Something with Gaming Age with the m transitioning to ym to spell Gayming Age animated every .3 seconds? :D
 
almost finished, needs a few more tweaks (need to make all the horizontal lines so they are actually horizontal :lol)

Wasabi wasn't specific, but I'm assuming he means something that says "Gaming Age Forum," but in the same style of the classic GA logo.

didn't know it needed a "Forums" how about just a big "GAF", only 1 letter with that :) might work on it tomorrow if no one else does.
 
did you guys figure out what font GA uses? i've been searching through my font library but no luck so far.
 
rkn is more on track with that second one... Like I said, save the creative interpretations for a pending contest. ;)

As for font, no. I have no idea, I'm sure the logo is WAY before my time, and whomever has the source file isn't saying... I'll give it another night and take this thread down into the abyss, thank you all for trying, except for Matlock.
 
running the font through what the font the closest match is trademarker fat italic, but i ended up recreating the letters. oh well. i've got the eps if you want it.

The logo is at least 5 years old.
 
rkn: I'll drop you a line later tonight... there are some slight changes I want to that second piece. I'd love to have the EPS, so I'll give you an e-mail to send the file.

Scrow: general upkeep, and usage on some in-house banner ads. It's nothing exciting or worth worrying about.

It's perfect, though. What with the Lohan freestyle making it big and all.
 
I've now come up with some slogans for GAF.

"GAF - READING COMPREHENSION WHAT?"

Save the creativity for later, guys, I do like some of the work that you guys have done...
