Okay. You guys all know I'm doing a diet, and it's been pretty successful so far. I keep track of my weight daily. Yesterday was sunny and relatively warm for an early March day.. I weighed in at 116.8kg. However, today it's been snowing non-stop all morning and it's freezing outside. Today, I weigh 114.8. There is no way I lost 2kg since yesterday.

My question is this: Does temperature affect weight?

Don't be fooled into thinking that the only mass in your body is fat. Everything, including water retained in body and food in the digestive tract, adds up to the total.

...which is why you should always weigh yourself under similar conditions, such as after you wake up, and even then expect day-to-day weight variations.
