I can't stand IPA's :( They taste like Soap to me.
Nothing beats a good Stout. Do you agree with me GAF or i'm alone on this? :p

I'll take either but prefer an IPA. But I'd take a pilsner over either.

All american beers are like piss water.
That being said, I'd take any german or european beer. Dark (stout), light, lager, it doesn't matter. As long as it's European. Preferably German.

IPA's all day (stouts are nice too though).

It's always depressing to hear people from other places complain about the IPA craze and there being too many IPA's. Around here they are hard to find and expensive :(

Since I discovered my first proper IPA from Stone Brewing down in San Diego, has to be almost 20 years ago, I've never looked back. The style has a lot of variety these days and is usually my go-to beer.

I've never been a beer drinker but a few weeks ago i went to a german restaurant and ordered a grapefruit hefeweizen and I could drink one of those with every meal!

Out of those two, stout. I hate IPA and I live in a city with a big independent brewing scene and fucking everybody makes IPAs and I'm sick of it.

Nothing quite like an Old Rasputin imperial Russian stout on a cold winter night with some spicy calamari.

Get out of my face with both of them, but I think as a German I am somewhat spoiled by our beer here.

But I have to say, I once went to the USA and had a really good lager there called "Narragansett Lager" in a small town close to NYC.

Pilsner>IPA>Stout. Also depends on the season tho.

"Narragansett Lager"

That is one of the cheapest beers out there, like PBR or High Life. Its both a hipster beer and an old man beer. Looked down upon by beer snobs. It isn't half bad tho.

My go to is Yuengling Golden Pilsner

The IPA craze will run its course and then we'll be able to settle back into enjoying beer again.

The IPA craze has been around since the early '00s. After roughly 2 decades I think it is here to stay. Plus, IPAs are fucking easy to make and can cover up a lot of poor brewing technique and inconsistencies. Flavorless stuff like Budweiser is far more technical and difficult to make for a microbrewery.

i can't vote because i love both. but i have more stouts in the winter and more ipa's in the summer. the thing is, you can't drink a lot of stouts. it can be pretty fucking heavy especially the imperial barrel aged stouts.

Well Bavarian maybe, the reall deal is happening on the east in Czech Republic, where beer is actually cheaper than water. And the consumption per capita is the highest on the world. I have never liked beer, went straight to spirits...rip my OG liver.

I refuse to answer the survey because the correct answer is a clean fresh pilsner.

*edit* - Also, one of the few remaining trappist ales, but always delicious if you feel like spending extra:

If I wanna get drunk then IPA , some come with over 8% . If I want to relax and get a nice buzz with something tasty then the Guinness Draught in the cans with the nitro in it .

I like both, but I have to be in the mood for IPA. My normal go-to is either a brown ale or American lager (something like Yuengling, not domestic piss-water).

I have respect for American domestic lager breweries as much as I don't like the product. There is so little flavor in that style that the slightest fuck-up will produce off-flavors. I tend to brew big, heavy flavors so that if I make a small mistake the flavor of the beer will cover it up.

Stop drinking you clowns

Beer Is Heart-Healthy
Huge studies have found a 25 percent lower risk of heart disease in people who drink from one-half to two drinks daily, compared to abstainers. And alcoholic beverages that are rich in polyphenols — think beer! — may be especially good for the heart, according to a 2012 research review.

Not much of a drinker anymore but I'm no beer snob I like all kinds of beer.
