These phones are very cool but still unusable and very expensive.
You can scratch these screens even with fingernail so normal use

For anyone who didn't watch, its foldable GLASS, not plastic. Also its a full feature phone with basically the 2nd best processor and 8 GB or RAM.

Compared to the FOLD 1 this is like PS1 to PS4. Price is still crazy (1380.00) but compared to the S20 ULTRA its a steal LOL.

V2 has been a huge improvement over V1. So imagine what V4 or V5 is going to look like.

Any fold haters you have your time now, but once Apple enters the game and realases the iFold you better get on bored because like the notch everyone will copy Apple.

Conflicted with these things.

On one hand, it's just a cool novelty. The screen can bend! You get that satisfying snap shut that's been gone forever! It looks cool!

The trade-off though...

It's super expensive. It's possibly prone to breaking. There's a crease in the screen, both visible and felt. One-handed use is more difficult.

Like, I see all of that, then compare it to a bunch of novelties, and I have to ask, is this really worth it? The answer, for me, is no. I can't justify the expense versus the reward, and about the only practical thing I can turn out is that maybe it might be more comfortable in your pocket?

Maybe they'll sell based on how cool looking they are, and especially if prices come down.

considering how refined the Z-Flip is, the Fold 2 should have all of the learned improvements on display in the Z in addition to further refinements.

Not ready fo prime time, or any folding phone for that matter.
Concept is pretty cool but the insane prices and hardware that definitely needs more time to mature.

Yeahhhhhh.....about the whole "glass" thing....

the glass substrate is still an improvement but not in terms of scratch resistance, but it will help the screen to be more rigid, causing less waves, and is clearer than just having two layers of plastic.

Incorrect. The flip z has a screen made of glass so no, you're fingernail is not going to scratch the screen.

And false again. They are quite useable and function as a smart phone. I'm not sure you'd possibly think they were unusueable.

And yes it's expensive but it's new technology as well. But it isn't like insanely expensive. Galaxy s20 is 1000 dollars on sprint's website and the flip z is 18 payments of 57.50 making it only 35 dollars more.

So I'm guessing you just want to hate Samsung for some reason, or you just read what someone else said and regurgitated it but either way it's obvious you haven't used the phone or even know anything about it. Yet you say things as if they are facts when they are not.

Well someone has to buy them to convince samsung to make a better model.

I have bit the bullet

Mine arrives tomorrow
Eeeeeeeee

Thats just marketing. Watch jerryrig video. The screen is still super soft and fingernails destroy itp.

its actually mostly plastic. watch jerryrigeverything video where he is doing a durability test including scratch test. The phone scratches even with the slightest pressure applied. if it was glass it would have taken alot more

I find those foldable phones ugly. I tried the Samsung one in the shop and it wasn't comfortable and the line that exists because of the fold is annoying.
