Game developers should work slower and try to delay their game so that they can keep their job longer

That's what they do now. They have to have big, bloated staffs to make the quotas, and they have to employ people to run departments that don't need to exist. Then the people with little skills have to have their opinions heard because they can't offer anything other than opinions which makes a game take even longer. And then everything has to be approved by the department that doesn't need to exist.

I laugh when I hear developers bitch when they have to work harder as they get closer to the deadline. That's the way it works with everything that has a deadline. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

It did not surprise me at all that Concord cost all that money to make. You know they were probably making minor tweaks and adjustments for years all while getting very little done.

It could work if the publisher was retarded or doesn't have an idea about project management.

In reality they rather put out an incomplete product.

When you get a job you'll understand.

And people wonder why there are so many layoffs happening now in the industry and why companies are looking towards AI.
Exhibit A: Work slower

You do realise if you don't have a product to sell, you don't get paid because the company selling said non-product no longer exists.

Are you Portuguese? You sure sound like one.

Xiiii. Entrada a pés juntos.

On topic:

If this generation taught us something, is that taking 5-6 years to develop a game doesn't give us the garantee of a memorable game, or even a competent one. Concord and Veilguard...cough cough.

If you are a developer, take your time with the game. You will not get laid off with another year added if you just take your time.

If you are a big publisher and you already spend $300 million on a game after a 5 year development cycle, you can’t afford to let people go with another year added to the games development.

And we all know the famous Kojima quote “a delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad“
Sure, take 60 million more just cause you feel a deadline like a Toxic work enviroment

For God's Sake...

Not sure what you're trying to achieve here. Become less productive?

Sounds like you're asking for a large swath of developers to become undesirable very quick.
