I honestly dunno why they didn't that sooner. Get ready for massive amount of microtransactions, but in a pokemon game. Selling itens, pokemons, xp itens, you name it. The kids from all world gonna be their target.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but code names have *absolutely nothing to do with features or hints about the system*.
In fact, that is the whole point of codenames, to be able to speak about them internally without revealing trade secrets or confidential information before it’s supposed to be revealed publicly.

You mean clocks? The specs are already leaked for years.
What's left to be leaked? Other than clock speeds in docked/handheld pretty much everything is known about at this point.

First impressions, typical Japanese source code with function headers as if we were in 1995. However one must acknowledge it's not easy for a Japanese to work with English-based programming languages.

Regarding code there are just some PHP scripts with user management, login, chat messaging, and character customization (hair, tops, bottoms and skin). The cool thing is that htere are some spreadsheets with a simple protocol definition (the communication between a client to server) and a plan.
MMO Mode: F Communication Interface Specifications by Hisanao Suzuki circa 2011. He worked for Square Enix I believe. It's a full specification for the messaging between server and client which would allow anyone to create their own client. However the spec is old so it might have changed quite a lot. I see Hisanao has given seminars regarding internet communications and C++/Objective-C programming languages so if he is not working for Nintendo he might have done a seminar for Nintendo employees explaining how to create a basic MMO client/server structure.
The important thing, though, they are using vim. Take that, Emacs!

IDK if you guys ever played Pokemon Scarlet and Violet online, but is an unstable zone with loads of disconnections, inconsistent.
Its impossible to even sustain a ranked battle without getting kicked from the servers. Game Freak don't have infrastructure to sustain an MMO like that.

Except that it is Gamefreak developing the game. Seriously, as big as Nintendo has become, they have completely squandered the Pokémon IP, which is possibly the biggest gaming IP in the world. If it's not, it certainly has the potential to be

A Pokémon MMO is the only thing that can go WoW level of people (if is launched on PC)
They can hire Amazon or even Microsoft to run the servers and do the netcode. Depends just from the production team
