I don't think LSL is backwards compatible for Xbox One. I did a search, and couldn't find anything. They probably played it on a 360.
Regardless, you are right. If they want to play on Xbox One, they could easily do it, even if they had to go buy one. I was mostly curious if we've ever seen them play something that was clearly on Xbox One, because nothing comes to mind.

I don't think they care about whether it's PC or not anymore.
GameGrumps is more the Danny+Arin combination than the platforms they use. Plus Danny plays old PC games on the Grumps side all the time. I think they just gave up caring about a distinction when they dropped the center slot. I mean Steam Train disappeared when they started calling everything with more than 2 people "GrumpCade" whether it was a PC or a console game.

Ugh watched the Arin and Jon playthrough of Contra III and holy crap Dan is bad at games. Like Jon and Arin aren't great, but holy crap Dan is bad.
Also Arin told Dan that the boss of stage 3 was the farthest he's ever got but him and Jon beat stage 4 lol.

Watching the wrong game. Go back to Mario 2 or Punch Out. Dan can definitely play pretty well when it's a game he likes.

He's just not a hardcore one. He still obviously follows game news and trends, but he's more of your girlfriend who mostly just likes to watch.

The Contra 3 run has been great because it's one of the few times that the roles have reversed with Dan being the grump and Arin not-so-grump.
Also it's hard to do well in a game you clearly don't like so I wouldn't judge Dan's skills on a single game.

Racism aside, Jon still had some good Grump moments I will still cherish from the early days. (Goof Troop and the 3 world speed run of Super Mario Land with the unexpected reset at the end off the top of my head.)
But Danny is just delightful day in and day out without having to yell or make random noises like Jon used to. A lot of the time Jon would force Arin to stop playing a game because he was a whiny bored baby, but Danny seems to be more likely to convince Arin to keep going and knows exactly when to call it a series when he notices they're not enjoying it anymore.
I want to be Danny's bestest friend.
Arin deliberately setting Dan up for That Moment in Shadow of the Colossus was hilarious. Dan was so upset.

I love Contra III and I beat it with my best friend from middle school. Now? I'd never beat it without cheats. It's a hard fucking game.

Yep, it is, took me years to beat it without using continues and not
dying once.
My 2 cents: I miss the moments when Arin could get in-depth in discussing games and pass the controller back and forth at a whim. Not to say Danny isn't an overall positive change for the show, but it's much more uncommon for them to be engaging with the game than in the Jon days, it feels like.

Interesting. They definitely haven't made it clear previously, but last time they were close to even talking was the star wars ad Jontron did. Man, it must suck for Arin though. He's blamed for Jontron leaving Game Grumps, he was viewed as the 'bad guy' for a while, and he's probably continually bugged about it.

Im completely expecting an awkward silence and completely pretending he doesnt recognize the voice. I doubt hed bring it up on the show itself just because of he comments that will already be there. Best to pretend its just another voice and move on. I mean maybe Arin already knows exactly what character it is and will purposely avoid it. Theres no way Arin doesnt know hes in it so theres no way he didnt consciously choose to play it knowing this. So hell probably just avoid the character if its not a story requirement. (Is it?)
