the fuck? the game is a masterpiece.
Vanquish? Yeah. I said it was in that post.

Bitter people spending $70 a game with no GP.

Most Game Pass games are already Play Anywhere.
Yoooooo Vanquish is the shit! I'll have to replay it now.I'm glad you're enjoying it. Vanquish is possibly my favorite game of all time, but I'm not going to get up on my soapbox and tell everyone it's a masterpiece. (It is though, and I do, in fact, do that)
It's ok to love average games.
I think some people believe Game Pass is what led to that $1000000000000 MS had to spend on acquisitions. TBH though, the advertising for the Xbox Series was getting pretty bad because all they kept pushing was Game Pass. To a point that they were saying you did not need an Xbox even before they started the whole everything is an Xbox campaign. They were trying to push streaming (and still are). Why do people continue to spread this nonsense that GamePass killed the Xbox brand? What lead MS to moving more of their games to other consoles is their piss poor console sales and the almost $100,000,000,000 they had spent on acquisitions.
They were going down this route before GamePass. GamePass was a Hail Mary attempt to move more people into their ecosystem and sell more consoles, and it failed.
The mistake they made was waiting too long to address their studio issue, and the whole Xbone ordeal.
GamePass was and is a complete disaster in the making. Whoever thought the idea of a Netflix-like streaming service could work for video games is a complete idiot and deserves to be shown out the door. I'm still shocked that Microsoft was duped into thinking this would work by Lies of Phil Spencer.I think some people believe Game Pass is what led to that $1000000000000 MS had to spend on acquisitions. Fact: Game Pass killed Xbox.
Xbox pundit:
Game Pass is an existential threat to retailers, this is the reason why they are pushing Play Station instead.....
Oh man, oh man. I'm just waiting to see what the last straw will be that makes all these people snap to reality and publicly admit the truth that the entire industry and regular people already know.
That all said gamepass is awesome and saves me thousands of dollars at this point lol.
100%Based Phil.![]()
People say this like it should sell you on the system.
You pay to rent a game for however long. It leaves the service. You pay for the game AGAIN because your rental ended. Meanwhile, you continue to pay for a rental service you aren't using because you're playing a game you own.
If you knew what I do for a living ... oh myMost of you here will never swim in bitches but having awesome games to swim in is the next best thing![]()
Buying dlc for a game you don’t own seems crazy to me. But I paid $10 for the horse armor so wtf do I know.Who says people with GPU are playing one game at a time? I know when I’m having a gaming sesh I tend to play more than one game and typically it’s a mix of what I own and what’s on GPU. I I might spend a couple hours inna Sunday just playing something like lost judgement then hop on COD ( via GPU) maybe followed up by marvel vs capcom collection and then I’m hopping in forza horizon 5 for some MP races with my friends ( via GPU…. However I did go ahead and buy all the DLC) that’s just an average Sunday gaming sesh for me at just my Xbox ( I also play a bunch of games on PC, but mostly on Xbox)
But I paid $10 for the horse armor so wtf do I know.
I don't really understand Game Pass from a business standpoint. Initially I thought that it was to sell more consoles (likely at a loss), and thus increase earnings from third party games sold on Xbox.
But then why put it on PC? Why buy one of the largest third party publishers and put all their games on Game Pass for free? Why push for Game Pass to be on all these devices and platforms where Microsoft is not paid for licensing?
Does the monthly fee alone really turn a profit? A profit large enough for it to justify purchasing Activision/Blizzard for 70 billion dollars? Every individual in America would need to subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate for a full 9 years just to break even that acquisition. And that's including 9 years of Activision's most recent profits, which I have to imagine would go down due to being on Game Pass.
How are they supposed to tum a profit with this? Are they trying to just throw money at it until they bully everyone else out of the market and then jack up the rates when there's no other options? Doesn't seem like it's working.

I’m older so I’m still trying to reconcile “ownership” and value in the digital video game age. I’ve bought many games multiple times on different platforms to support devs so I’m definitely making a judgement on buying dlc for subscription games, it’s just something I would never have considered and I’m surprised to hear people do it. Spend your money however you want!I usually either beat the game before it leaves or I buy it. If I liked it enough to buy the DLC I like the game enough to buy it when it leaves the service assuming I haven’t beaten it already. That usually is never the case. I bought FH4 DLC long before I bought the game…. Bought the game before it got delisted. Takes of arise and lies of P I also bought before they left GPU. If it wasn’t for GPU I don’t even thing I would have gotten into certain JRPGs to be honest. Tales and ni no kuni 2 have been pleasant suprises. And I pretty much own everything square puts on Xbox at this point in time. So now I have final fantasy pixel remaster and everything after sitting in my backlog. Ive become a bit of a hoarder. Shit I even bought all the old star wars games because I wanted a star wars games collection. It just looks so cool in my digital library.
This is the problem. Too many games and not enough time to play them all.
