Doubtful of this being the case, now the clarification has been made regarding this being a "might" rather than a confirmation.
Even if this happens, I cannot see it happening for long, Let's imagine a scenario:
there are two competing games being released on xb1/ps4, game A and game B. There is a similar PS4 exclusive game C.
Now Game A is parity for both versions, Game B is an improved PS4 version and Game C is obviously pushing the hardware as a first party game.
Game C and Game B are going to leave Game A behind, Game A can't compete with Game B or C and suffers in sales as it's simply not as good, How do you think the sequel to Game A is going to be?
I'd say the sequel would abandon parity and try and compete with Game B and Game C.
If Sony first party are going to be pushing the hardware to the same extent as they did with the PS3, the multiplatform games will need to try and compete or there will be a gulf in quality and people WILL notice.
The good news is, as MS fixes and improves these suposed broken ass drivers(and you know they will), it'll just improve the games for PS4 as well. So Sony owners should be hoping for MS success, instead of threatening to boycott them. You NEED MS to pull this off.
I love these "microsoft will work on it" posts, I especially love the Assumption that the PS4 tools will not be improved in the same time frame...
