Which do you prefer?
I've had my Gameboy Player for a few months now and it's still in its case. -_-
Honestly I play most handheld games between small breaks while doing stuff like wasting time on the internets. I like playing for 10-15 minutes sessions. Every time I sit down to play a long game a console one always wins. Even with 3/4 hour sessions on handheld games (like Advance Wars) I'd prefer the SP - it's just feels different than couch/TV so it kind of has its own charm.
Also, most handheld games I have are not as good as console ones so they're better played as just handheld games in small bursts imo.
I recently got into the 2D Zeldas and currently I'm at the 3rd dungeon in Link's Awakening and while the game is awesome, it's not even close to the 3D Zeldas. Explorations just isn't the same (dragging myself from screen to screen is also annoying), and combat in the 3D zeldas is on a whole different level than 2D ones. And this is Zelda, combat isn't really it's best part. LA is still awesome though, once I got over the 2D/3D comparisons it got even better.
There's also the whole OCD obsession over which way I should play a game. I blame the Gameboy Player's existence for this. It's in my head repeating every time I play an SP game and probably the reason for this thread.
