So I guess it started with Resident Evil 4 one month and a half ago. I turned my Gamecube on and it was like "Game disc error." or something. So I was like "Lame" and turned it off, left it for five minutes then turned back on again. Everything worked fine; problem solved I thought.
But then it began to happen periodically, pretty much always when starting up games. It didn't really bother me, since the fix was always just turning on then turning it back on.
Until now, of course. Now when I turn it on, it makes a funny (obviously not HA-HA-HA funny) noise and goes straight to the menu. Then when I select "Gameplay" it claims there isn't a disc inserted, when there goddamn is.
Anyhoo, has anyone else here experienced this and if so, is there anyway to fix it or am I fucked and have to shell out for a whole new Gamecube?
