I don't think Peter had any say with the rrod fiasco, that was all from the higher ups. The higher ups knew there was a problem, but rushed it out anyway.20 years, man I feel old.
Peter and crew did a fantastic job with the 360 (rrod aside). Its a shame what's happened since then.
This was when E3 was still alive and well. Makes me sad that we no longer have these moments. It was such an exciting time and I have such amazing memories of it. Guy always seemed very cool.

A lot of people didn't take care if their consoles, I lost the amount of times I saw people putting their cable boxes or vcrs on top of their console and then wondering why it overheated"Things break" pushed me away from xbox to this day, thank you Peter.
Sure but not me.A lot of people didn't take care if their consoles, I lost the amount of times I saw people putting their cable boxes or vcrs on top of their console and then wondering why it overheated
The Dreamcast is probably my favorite console of all time tbh. This man told Yuji Naka to fuck off during a meeting in Tokyo while at Sega.
Legend, he made a success of Dreamcast in his region while it flopped badly in others.
I used to wrap my 360 in a towel - it was the accepted temporary fix for the RROD. Brought it back to life for a few weeks.A lot of people didn't take care if their consoles, I lost the amount of times I saw people putting their cable boxes or vcrs on top of their console and then wondering why it overheated
Unfortunately it was only for the 360. After he left, they brought in DEI hires and suits who knew nothing about gaming to run a gaming division. Was he there for the original Xbox or just the 360?
The crazy part was how good the system was in that short run, it's still my favorite Xbox console. So the og Xbox only lasted for about 4 years until the XBox 360 came out? Wow that was short.

The PS3 and PC GPUs had the exact same defect btw"Things break" pushed me away from xbox to this day, thank you Peter.
Luckily my new 360 soon got the RROD as well.
Wrong
It was the best console I'd ever had. I used to get every console available, but from the 360 onwards I stuck with Xbox, with sadly diminishing returns.I love your positive attitude. haha

I couldn't imagine switching to a new 'ecosystem' now. When they stop making them, that'll be the end of my console-buying days.
