My backlog shame continues. I spent too much time enjoying Titanfall this year, sort of as preparation for TF2 (which I haven't even started yet).

I did manage to beat Bastion (360) a few days ago. Fantastic game.

Side Note: I was going to plow thru The Raven: Legacy of the Thief for the achievements, but despite the mostly solid story and atmosphere the mechanics are so bad on 360 its almost unplayable. Ugh. One of the worst (console) games I've played in a long time. I may try to finish it on PC... Maybe using a mouse will help. Playing this w/ a 360 controller is awful.

On average and at most, yes. It's more like 2-3 hours M-T and 7-8 F-Sunday though. Still a bunch, but doable if you're in your early twenties and single. It's probably the most I've played since WoW and Halo 2 back in '04-'06 and an outlier year for me in terms of free time.

Ninja Gaiden II (360) - definitely one of the very best action games
Metal Gear Solid V - best game in the series. Kind of too bad about the weird chapter setup though.
Denjin Makai II - one of the best beat-em-ups

Great games:

The Evil Within - not quite as polished as RE4 (or Vanquish) but still a fantastic game all-around
Dead Rising - really unique. Survivor AI can be rough but planning efficient trips around the mall is great.
GunValkyrie - some of the coolest movement in a 3D action game. It's a shame that the level design is kind of lacking and sparse though.

I LOVE your list! We have a lot of overlap, not just with the actual games, but the type of games we played.

Sure, I'll bite.

1. WWE 2K17 - not really beatable per se.
2. Destiny - vanilla campaign and all expansions.
3. Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection - was good to play it again.
4. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst - not as good as the first but still good.
5. Deus-Ex: MD - likely my GOTY 2016.
6. King of Fighters XIV - a very good fighter.
7. Pokemon X - solid but no reason to continue after campaign.
8. Fallout: New Vegas - liked it more than F3. Solid overall.
9. FEAR - cool game but did not age well.
10. MLB The Show 2016 - not really beatable per se but whatever.
11. Two Worlds 2 - decent but full of jank.
12. Yakuza 5 - not the best in the series but not the worst, either.
13. Pokemon White 2 - the usual.
14. Forza 6 - fantastic racer, one of my favorites.
15. Street Fighter V - great fighting engine built on thin features.
16. Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - not as good as TNO.
17. Wolfenstein: The New Order - very underrated!
18. Halo 5 - ran through the campaign just to get it over with.
19. WWE 2K16 - worse than 2K17.

- Final Fantasy Explorers
- Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

They were all pretty good. My top picks are Ace Attorney (all of them), ALBW, DS3 and DeS. AA is an amazing franchise and I regret ignoring it as a kid.

Soma Bringer and Final Fantasy Explorers are the weakest entries on my list, but I still enjoyed them quite a bit.
