Games you started again right after finishing?

-Halo:CE
-Rez
-Panzer Dragon ORTA
-Riddick
-Unreal Tournament
-Quake 3
-Ninja Gaiden
-Twinkle Star Sprites

Is it possible to find a copy of Rez anywhere for a reasonable price?

When compared to the 8 bit, 16 bit, or even 32/64 bit days, I barely restart any games from scratch with the intention of finishing them anymore. RE4's the exception. BRING BACK GOOD SIDESCROLLERS!

From this generation?

Viewtiful Joe
Metal Gear Solid 2
Kingdom Hearts
Final Fantasy X
The Bouncer

Tell i'm a Square whore yet?

Probably MGS2 and ICO.

I really wanted to replay Wind Waker right away, but the sailing turned me off from replaying the game.

I've replayed many games, but IMMEDIATLY AFTER? hmmmm

Resident Evil 2 (PSX)
Devil May Cry 3
Double Dragon (NES)

....that's all that I can recall.

Not many:

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Chrono Cross
Chrono Trigger
Fable
Final Fantasy (Origins version)
Final Fantasy X-2
Jade Empire
Parasite Eve
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Threads of Fate

I typically can't replay a game right after finishing it, as I either find it boring, or feel like I should be playing something else from my massive backlog. But with these games, I had some added incentive to play through it again (ie: New Game +, multiple endings, Good/Evil system, unlockables, etc)... If it weren't for that, I probably wouldn't have bothered.

Revenge of Shinobi
Phantasy Star
Phantasy Star 2
Phantasy Star 3 (4 times in a row to see all the endings)
Panzer Dragoon Zwei
Alien Soilder
Gunstar Heroes
Ghouls N Ghosts

and probably a lot more if my memory wasn't so bad...

Chronotrigger - I had the gamepro issue that told you how to get the different endings, so I went for it back in 95.

Resident Evil 4 - there was no question once I beat this. I couldn't stop thinking about how awesome the game was as a whole.

Streets of Rage 2 - me and my cousins beat this over and over when they got just to see the ending again. I love the soundtrack.

Valkyrie Profile
Goldeneye - the game came out of left field for me with how awesome it was.

Define "reasonable price." Sealed/new copy prices are currently insane - anywhere from $100-$120. Used but mint copies seem to run from $60-$80 on E-Bay.

Is Rez worth $60? Absofuckinglutely. Just be patient, watch the auctions and I bet you could find a nice copy in that price range.

Believe it or not - Dragon Riders: Chronicles of Pern. Yes, I'm a dragon fanatic, and yes, I'm probably batshit insane and don't know it.

Monster Rancher, but you sort of... have to. That's the way it works..

Every fighter ever, for obvious reasons.

Chrono Cross.

Final Fantasy VII.

Lots of 16-bit games.

Residnet Evil 2...I like RE4 and all but I whish they would make another with 2 persectives on the same events that the characters sometimes crossed paths.
Chrono Trigger
Fable
KotoR

RE4.

It's so amazing I had to play it again to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Plus I'm trying to get that infinite rocket launcher. Oh yeah, I learned you can look up Ashlee's dress. SWEEET :lol

Games that take a significant amount of time to complete (e.g. no Gunstar Heroes) and save your progress. Also not counting alternate characters. (Including them, throw in the "action" games for SotN and AoS.)

Legend of Zelda
** Link's Awakening
Metroid
Metroid Zero Mission
Castlevania: SotN
** CotM (six times in a row, in fact, with each of the character classes and then again for fun :))
** AoS
Metal Gear Solid (four or five times in a row)
... and surely several others.

Still, I played Bushido Blade almost daily for months and months. Too bad that franchise seems to have died.

You know, I think I replay most of my games after finishing (unless it, y'know, sucked). After I beat it, I usually go through it again knowing what to do and where to go this time around.

-KOTOR - Beat 6 times.
-RE4 - Beat twice.
-Ninja Gaiden - Beat twice.
-Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind: Beat 27 times. :p

both halo 1 and halo 2 are the only game i cn think of off the top of my head that i immediately started playing through a second and third time (at least) after beating. i've beating halo 2 by playing all the way through the game probaly more then any game in my 20 years of playing. awesome game, even better then the first, despite a few areas that werent quite as great as the first. screw the haters.

>>>KOTOR got an instant restart, mostly because I'd determined to play light side the first time through. <<<

I started over straight away after beating the game 100% dark, but didn't make it very far the second time. I just couldn't stomach playing it light for some reason.

this gen?

Metroid Prime
Resident Evils on GC (all of the new ones)
MGS3
donkeykongjunglebeat :D
PDO
Metroid Zero Mission
Windwaker
Pikmin2

Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal.

I beat it and started a continued save on Hard mode and kept playing. That game is kick ass.

Same here. R & C: UYA was awesome, I started again after finishing, I had to max out all my weapons. :D

DMC3: Played through Normal, Hard and Dante Must Die mode. That game was so rewarding; I spent over 120 hours on it creating, combining and mastering new combos :D

Super mario Advance: Just started it again(after finishing), I won't stop till I get every red coin and egg.

SMB3
ToS
Halo
Pokemon Yellow\Blue\Silver
Edit: Those are the ones I finished after replaying
I also started replaying:
Ratchet & clank 2
Metoid Prime

This gen:

Metroid Fusion (3 times before playing anything else)
Super Monkey Ball
Super Smash Brothers: Melee
PSO: Ep I&II (GC)
Halo
Halo 2
Rez (I think I've beat this game over 30 times by now :b)
Klonoa 2
FFX
FFXI (not really but with the ammount of hours I put into this game I could have beat THIRTY seperate 40 hour RPGs) ¬_¬
Devil May Cry 1 and 3
Morrowind (again, not really but I could have beat around five seperate 40 hour RPGs)

edit:

DC games are too many to list...probably over 30 games for that system...most notable are PSO, Sword of the Berserk, Maken X, and the Sonic games

Halo
Halo 2
Ninja Gaiden
Metroid Prime 1

love games with easy/normal/hard modes
especially if it means that the enemies just don´t to more damage to you and have more health themselves

OH HELL YES. Halo, DMC, and NG are excellent examples of games that follow this exact principle (though I would have to say that I would prefer it if their HP didn't increase AT ALL)

A harder difficulty usually means 3 cyborg baddies instead of two, reduced damage for your attacks, more health for the baddie, less for you, and greater damage when the bad guys attack...what I love are the games that increase AI, objectives, etc. as the difficulty ramps up...this type of scalability is much better than it was last gen...but I'd like to see it become used more often next gen

MGS
Perfect Dark
Resident Evil

That's all I can remember for sure, but I'm sure there were some from 8 and 16 bit era that I don't recall.

Usually I'm tired of the game after I've completed it, but these were great games that had incentives for me to play thru again.

Legend of Zelda (NES) - To complete the second quest.

Super Mario Bros. (NES) - Also to complete the second quest.

Castlevania (NES) - Actually I'm not sure this one counts. After beating this game, I tracked down the MSX version (Vampire Killer) and I beat that game. I loved Castlevania, but Vampire Killer was even better - more challenging (no continues) and I actually liked the idea with finding the keys and the different paths.

Metal Gear (NES) - Again, I tracked down the MSX version after beating the NES version, and again, I thought the MSX version was superior.

Dragon's Lair (Arcade) - You could get a lot of playtime out of a quarter (actually I think it was 50 cents) once you knew how to win. Plus, you got to impress everyone who was watching. :)

Adventure (Atari 2600) - Great game - different every time. Still love this game today!

Zork: Grand Inquisitor (PC) - Amazingly faithful return to the world of Zork. I loved the nostalgia trip so much, I had to return. Kudos to Activision for such a great Zork game, but damn them to hell for not following through on the rest of the trilogy. I wish they would just sell the Zork license to someone who might have an interest in it - because Activision sure doesn't seem to ever plan on touching this license again.

Luigi's Mansion (NGC) - The game was so short but enjoyable, that I played through again on the harder level.

Mner 2049'er (ColecoVision) - I had to see if I could actually beat the game again!

Pretty much every single rpgs I played on the NES and SNES.

the ones that came after that, i can remember doing so on

Wild Arms
FFVII
Xenogears
FFT
FFVIII
FFIX

Halo 2 is a completely different game on Legendary, and after I got past that absolute bitch of a first level, I really enjoyed the experience. You learn to love every little scrap of cover you can find, you're careful with every piece of ammo, and the old run and gun approach will get you killed in mere seconds. Everytime you see that checkpoint save prompt appear on-screen you utter to yourself 'thank god'. Whereas I found the Normal difficulty a let-down, Legendary was one of the most enjoyable FPS experiences I've had.

Panzer Dragoon Orta
