RE 4 doesn't deserve it by any means. A game with so many poor design decisions (no, side step, no quick weapon select, lame inventory system, instant death QTEs, trial and error gameplay, etc) should automatically disqualify it for GOTY.

I'd rather see God of War, Forza, Shadow of the Collossus, Civ IV, Guild Wars, PGR3, Lumines, Mercenaries, or Call of Duty 2 chosen before it.

Sure, give it awards or nominations in Graphics, Art Direction, Sound, and Music but not Design or GOTY.

QFT. I don't get why RE4 is so critically acclaimed and why GAF loves it so much.

Warcraft 3 is the very definition of overrating. Fun for about 3 hours.

You're kidding? WC3 is the shit. Everything about it is awesome. The music. The hero system. The ART. The four races. And the inifinite number of third-party custom games. Hell, I've been playing DOTA (Defense of the Ancients, an extremely popular third party custom game) for over a year now on Battle.net.

Just a style question, but can I quote a quote about how RE isn't GOTY material and write "QFF" or "Quoted For Falsehood."

Because if that's acceptable, I totally will. RE4 was one of the best playthrough experiences I've had with any game ever. Even more so that I had a friend to play it through with.
