Gamestop auctions infamous Switch 2 stapler for charity

Instead of auctioning a stapler, they should donate the "abandoned" pre order cash, especially the money put down on titles customers forgot about and staff would lie so they wouldn't have a negative pre order mark on their numbers.

I didn't know selling collectibles to keep your business afloat was charity.
FIY Gamestop is fully profitable and has a literal mountain of cash (10B and BTC).

Software sales are in decline (digital age) but hardware (used and new), collectibles and collectible grading (partnership with PSA) are going strong.

And they even have great trade-in values for consoles nowadays (like almost full price).

If we care about physical copies of games, we should hope for them to grow (and no: they're not going anywhere with those financials).
