Everything you loved about Mario 64 is still here except there are now more areas to explore, new stars to collect, different characters to control, and brand new mini-games to unlock. Really the only thing missing is an analog stick, and truth be told most gamers won’t miss it.

Sorry, but I've played this game for a good long while and I'm not so easy to overlook the flawed control and camera system, not to mention the fact this it's yet another whored out remake from Nintendo.

edit - just to make my position clear:

Original game = greatest platformer ever.
This game = absolutely average.
Feel The magic = still the best launch title.

no, but seriously, the reviews are relative. H2 is scored based on what you have on the XBox, aka Halo 2.. HL2 is scored compared to what you have on the PC, aka a hell of a lot more great shooters than just one.

That's just a cop-out. That is true, but what you failed to mention is that games are scored based on what else is in the GENRE as well, regardless of platform.
