Gaming PC For Under $1500?

HP clearing some inventory out to make room for Skylake I see... Still a good deal if you want an i7 though, for sure.
It doesn't really make sense to clear out a Haswell-E for Skylake. Different market segments, and a Haswell-E replacement is still a ways off.

FIREWORK30 and the $250 rebate were technically for the whole desktop part of the site, so I'm thinking it wasn't a specific measure to clear gaming PC inventory. In fact, the HP Envy Phoenix 850 series is practically brand new as a whole - I don't think any consumers even have any on hand yet in general. There aren't even any reviews up on YouTube or elsewhere yet.

I can't believe I missed that HP deal!!! I have no clue how to build PCs and that would have been perfect. Someone please tell me that they wouldn't have shipped to Canada so I feel better.

I think you could have used a parcel forwarding company.

The HP arrived today. It's as great as expected (had to remove a little bit of bloatware but nothing was too entrenched). Filling out the $250 rebate stuff as carefully as possible and sending it out tomorrow.

Here is the CPU-Z Readout of the system in case anyone is interested:
