I saw it last night. Such a great movie.

"Somebody's been pissing on my Gamecube. Im about to crack the case."

Best quote from a movie this year. In a theather of about 20 or so people me and my friend were to only two laughing. And we laughed for like 4 minutes after that.

Yeah that was great. When I went to see it, i think there was about 7 people in there, and when he said that I was the only one laughing, and then these girls behind me started laughing, cause I was laughing

"The prints seem to belong to the canine persuasion"

I also liked his "Peace Out Playa"

I really liked the movie. I laughed a lot more than I expected to. Good choices for the soundtrack, good cinematagraphy and good acting. The ending was a little trite and
there really weren't any twists that made me go 'woah'. Like her epilipsy is mentioned but never plays a role, the main character being the one who injured his mother...it just made sense more than alarmed me. My favorite camera shot was the two of them at the end of the pool, with the water distorting their reflection and body. It made them look floaty and wistful.

PS: SOMEBODY'S BEEN PISSING ON MY GAMCUBE!

I saw the film with another forum member, and at that moment I leaned over to say "You know they'll be posting a picture of that, complete with subtitle, once the DVD hits."

Holy shite, we have some Ottawa residents here? That is awesome :)

Damn, I should have told you guys about our Ottawa game tournaments.

btw, I saw Garden State at the AMC here. They had lots of shows for it.

Ghost

Chili Con Carnage!
FINALLY got to see this movie....gotta say

what a movie, i loved it, i just felt like i understood exactly why Brafs character was doing everything, not just the regular stuff like avoiding his dad, but all the random stuff too (popping the pill, yelling from the crane etc) without any pushing at all from the script it just made total sense.

Also DVD must buy for that pissing on my gamecube line

Going to see it for the 3rd time again this weekend (after The Incredibles, of course). The movie has a subtle cheeriness to it despite the numerous emotional problems with the characters and you can't help feeling "good" while watching the movie.. the first half in particular is just so funny that it buys for itself time to wrap up the complexities of the characters in the second half. But the movie feels like it lets up significantly in the end. I understand the significance of the ravine and the method by which the characters reach closure and it makes sense.. but the movie still features such a mood shift, losing its punch that its hard not to feel that way. Despite all that, a great movie. And the music is great.
